Bucco, are you familiar with Derrick Bell, his critical race theory and Bell's role in Obama's life at Harvard? In light of what we are seeing with all the rhetoric and race baiting that has reemerged, I think it is something that is interesting to look at and understand.

I've often wondered where some liberals get their weekly senseless little quips and slogans. Is it spoon fed to them on some liberal websites where they gobble it up and then regurgitate at anyone attempting to have a discussion that might shed light on a real issue?

You know you've made your point when my buddy has to drag Bachmann or Palin out of storage for lack of a cogent counterpoint to your posting.

I really honestly try to ignore these people who are here to simply inflame with the little quips and ridicule but I am often unsuccessful and resort to saying something back, and that is on me.

However, it appears to be typical....NBC altering tapes in the Sanford tragedy...and just read tonight that R Maddow is being sued for 50 million....her show doctored a guys tape to make it say x and then their defense is that she then quickly said b after letting it air. That is such crap..why cant we just discuss what is needed to be discussed and let the chips fall where they may. In case you want to read the Maddow thing..

Yeah, a poster on another thread just said it was BORING..his words to come on here and read criticism of Obama...this was on his visit to Latin America, so I gave him some headlines from all around to try and show I am not just looking for this stuff.

But, back to the thread...the race issue is becoming more and more a real problem. You cannot say anything negative about this administration without the race thing coming at you. There is just too much conformity in the messages for it not to be thought through. And IT WORKS...if you recall it has since been reported that folks wanted McCain to use somethings in the campaign....things that heretofore had been used, but they had a racial tone to them and thus he didnt use them. Not saying that is what cost him the election, but you cannot have legitimate discussions and campaigns with this damn race thing hanging over your head. If you have to watch everything you say just because the other guy is non white is in itself racist.

Who cares what color and I truely believe nobody cares BUT ARE SENSITIVE to the calls of racist....scary in this country right now and this guy said he would bring us together...along with a bunch of other things.

Therer's an easy solution, Bucco. Don't get your shorts in a knot coming up with criticisms of Obama. Just relax, enjoy life...and vote for Mitt Romney in November.

VK...you make a very very good point, but I do not look for the criticisms....I love to read and only post what I read which never makes the MSM anyway which is frustrating.

You would think the President doing things he does would be news....but as you know if you watch the news, we have "more important" things to cover and talk about other than our future, which is getting dimmer and dimmer if we dont talk about it.

I come on here and see people who are going to vote say such outlandish things and adore the wrong things...frustrates me.

Listen, I enjoy life....lots of baseball, family and apple pie but does not stop me from reading and noticing things.

Actually, I have and have said so on here that what we should concentrate on here is the media....they are a major part of the problem, and if they had done their job in 2008 we could be on here going after President McCain, which as you know did not make me happy. Having a choice of just two is also frustrating...believe me I could vote Democratic with the right leader in place....have done it in the past and would not hesitate to do in the future.

As you know well, I have been consistent with my views on Obama....my fears of 2008 have proven to be 100% true and to re elect him and not have him to have to face the voters again intensifies my fears.

I do live in this country and care about this country.

And post some of your excellent financial posts....been told by a poster recently that he cannot learn anything on this forum...he seems to know how to get it all, but do not want to give you a big head BUT over the years I have learned quite a bit either from your links or you making me look stuff up....did not always agree but have to admit I DID change my views a few times based on your posts.

PS...on the specific thread you made your comment to me....THIS RACE issue I think is extremely important and it is looming over this country and it has to be meant face on WITH NO FEAR OF THE POLITICALLY CORRECT tag and fear of being accused of anything
