Maybe not new to some but to me....

It is the first time I have been made aware of it....

From Norman Thomas, a candidate for President on the Socialist ticket a number of times..said this in 1944...

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism.
But, under the name of "liberalism" , they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation,
without knowing how it happened"

And here we are, perhaps so far down the road we can never ever come back. Certainly in my lifetime we won't.
