He knows they are not in any way shape or substance going to treat him fairly.

Yes, he set the stage to make them peronally aware he is his own man....like it or not, that is exactly why the majority of America backed Trump.

No more business as usual.

Donald Trumps media summit was a fing firing squad | New York Post

We already know what the Clinton supporters responses will be to the meeting.....more of the same BS that has been espoused since their candidate and the established got the first trouncing from America.
Fairly naive to think the media doesn't know Donald Trump. He's been a media hound his whole life.

Not naive at all. I stand by my initial observations:

"...They all went in thinking it would be business as usual.

No more business as usual...."

Exactly.

Trump actually believes that he can bully real journalists, while he hires someone (Bannon) who is noted for truth and ethics...just below The National Enquirer.

I predict some really epic 3:00 AM meltdowns and raging rants, which will almost...be worth having him elected.

Fortunately for all concerned, the NY Times meeting was recorded, including the booing and Trump's statement that he is now open to accepting the Paris Accord of Climate Change.
