This poster seems to be using the tactics described ib Saul Alinski's book. First you mock, then you divert the question, and then turn the question to your own. Sounds like Palin, doesn't it?

Gee....maybe he/she was, but to be honest, I totally missed the "question" you refer to in the post being replied to.

Could you repeat the question...better yet, cut and paste that question, so all can see it and respond to the question.

To help out, here is the post that supposedly had a question in it that was ignored and diverted.

"Post
Caitlyn Jenner, Josh Duggar, Speaker Denny Hastert all monopolizing the news because of sexual issues and all republicans.

Need help in finding that diverted question. Thanks

WOW...talk about making a case for a new "normal".

I suppose you are allowed to make any kind of implications now on here, no matter what.

At least in the case off President Clinton, there are facts to back things up. Last official count I heard was 7, although I know of only 4 that are certain.

Talk about a new normal "only 4", as if that was complimentary.

Don't you wonder how many in the Oval Office of the President ?

the degeneration of who and what we have become is very apparent in this thread.

As far as getting with the times or be a dinosauer, I will take the values of yesterday long before I accept the permissive, anything goes, no respect for anything or anybody gutter values of today.

How are we supposed to explain to the children why the former Speaker of the House, Dennis Hastert, at one time second in line to be president of the US, was just perp walked into court?

I would suppose, if they ask, with the same sensitivity we will use explaining a question they WILL ask, that being.....how could an elected sitting President of our country have sex, adulteress sex, with a woman inside that supposedly revered Oval Office. Or how he could be sued while President for having adulteress sex while a sitting Governor with another woman.

I suspect the question on our President will be asked many more times than that about the guy, who appears to be guilty, and what he did before gettin into office.

Of course those children you are concerned about will be tech savvy, so we will need to use that same sensitivity to explain how two members, married, of the House of Representatives...while in office....were engaging in sexual antics on their phone, or even explain how a sitting U.S. Senator, Edwards by name, could engage in an affair while running for President and being touted by his party as the moral example.

Tough things to explain you are correct.

NOW, your post was meant to try and slam the Republican Party, and the manner is pretty typical. My responses were trying to show how hypocritical you are being, by playing the lowest, basest kind of politics.

HOWEVER, it does speak to the thread, although not your purpose....The New Normal. I realize you feel it is one sided, but someday we all need to grow up and face issues, not only with character of our leaders, but the issues themselves that far outweigh the importance of party

Guest 06-09-2015 12:23 PM

It is your core values background that has one wondering how to explain, etc.

Not to worry with today's permissive, anything goes environment, they will most likely wonder what YOUR problem is!

Makes one wonder how Bill Clinton had a 66 percent approval rating when he left office. George Weasel was about 34 percent. That is extremely low.

I am not fan of Ms Clinton, nor President Obama, however I have at least the common respect and ability to be an adult when talking anywhere.

Your reference to President Bush may be cutesy to you but it reminds me of how less than adult this board is becoming. As with the past board, the trolls just never stop the games.

And we wonder why our electorate is a bit slow.

I suppose the is another affirmation of the OPs premise. You equate approval ratings in a political poll to morals, which is even worse than sad

Thanks for clarifying. I thought the above post was about JFK, the biggest philanderer of all in recent memory.

Well, I didn't go back too far. The TWO trolls on feverish duty today do not seem to be into history much. They seem to be limited to the websites they have been steered to and any factual history is irrelevant !

Just completed a book, not about JFK but went into his dallying with Judith Campbell. etc. I am not sure he could hold a candle with Clinton as far as IN THE WHITE HOUSE...maybe pre, but President Clinton took philandering IN OFFICE to a higher level than I can think of.

The post you refer to hardly sounds like a curmudgeon to me and was far from a brainless post. I don't see how your comment above added to the commentary at all however. If there is one thing I have learned in life, it's that often times what I don't like in another person is often a reflection of something I don't like in myself. You may want to take a look in the mirror.

Thank you, Village Curmudgeon. Your posts are always brainless.
