the original tea party also

just to remind everyone that the original area Tri-County Tea Party is still meeting, also on monday nights, unfortunately, at the American Legion Hall on Rolling Acres Rd....six thirty....speaker monday night is Karen Schoen, who founded AgEnders to work against Agenda 21....both groups have great speakers and members who love our country! nothing bad about it!

yes agenda 21 is very interesting and it is difficult to choose however the one at LaHacienda is also having a great speaker MOnday night. I've heard the Agenda 21 several times so think I'll head on over to the villages tea party club. let me know how you found the agenda 21 speech if you go.

A pretty good link to read: Inside Agenda 21: The International Tyranny of Bike Lanes - Politics - The Atlantic Wire

Makes me wonder what these conspiracy theorists are up to?

While researching the Tea Party, I came accross an interesting read. Seems to have a lot of fact to it.

Tea Party Follows Ku Klux Klan Ideology

WOW...a 2 year old article that has been debunked so solidly and so effectively in the last TWO years !!

Why does everyone who supports Obama want to make everything into race ?

I appoligize if I offended you. I have only known 2 people that claimed the Tea Party as their Party. They were both over the top racists, but I agree that not all tea party members fall into that catagory.

I have not decided yet who I will vote for as it depends on the VP pick by Romney. I am leaning Romney, but VP is important to me.

Your post is one of the reasons why I totally oppose labels. All Republicans are this....all Democrats are this....Tea Party folks are this.

I cannot think of many groups in the world that can be labeled under one label whatsoever. But it is easier....today we have stopped listening. Once we have these labels on everyones head, we no longer have to listen....big part of our problems.

The "perfect" ideology does not exist on either side under any label.

far too many people talk about minority (not race this time) issues or isolated reports or isolated incidents and represent them as general conditions. Especially if it makes their case or point or counterpoint for them.

They readily accept the notion that when looking at the world through a straw, they categorize what they see as what is going on in the world....as in looking at an elephant through a straw they would contend the world is indeed gray (the media uses these type optics on issues all the time...and many everything has to be partisans live by this method.

to golfing nut

actually, the speaker at la hacienda monday night is a black conservative and author. if you have concerns about racism in the Tea Party (not a political party, by the way) you should go there and listen to him speak! either one of the meetings will open your minds....and thursday night there is a wonderful program open to the public put on by Americans for Prosperity, as well as a conservative liberty alliance meeting on tuesday nights...usually can be found in the rec news at rec centers schedules. will post more info soon. these are all in the Villages. lots of information to be had for those who will listen (let him who has ears, hear!)

Monday is always "boys night out" for me and my friends and Twilight Golf is on the agenda, or I would probably go. For me it would be "preaching to the choir" anyway.

Someday, I've got to make a meeting though.

Re: The Tea Party

I have some advice for some of you posters from my Mom. If you can't say anything nice about someone don't say anything at all;)

I did not know what space to post this link on but since tea partiers seem to like quoting from Saul Alinski, this seems like a good place.

How many of you actually know who Alinski was and what he stood for? Read the link and you should find it interesting at least from a historical viewpoint. History - Salon.com

I thought the saying went "if you can't say something nice about someone, come sit next to me".
