They get paid by the sponsors. The sponsors make money because everyone watches the show. Most likely, the sponsors are conservative.

The majority of Hollywood are liberals, their products are bought mostly by Democrats.

Welfare recipients are the best consumers, people who never worked spend other people's money very freely.

Villagers think before they spend, the majority being conservative.

These players are still employees and if the owners wanted to force a stop to it they could because it is a workplace issue .
When did your former employers allow you to openly demonstrate at the workplace .

Now that Robin Williams is dead I can't think of an improv person that works like they did. Carol Burnett is little like Catherine Tate. Dean Martin was cool. I can't think of an equivalent but I never laughed out loud at his show.
