That's what we get when politicians are governed by minority, special interest voting blocks.

They continue to crap on the majority as long as enough are stupid enough to keep re-electing them.

Are you looking for a candidate that is funded by the people and not special interests groups?

Guest 04-07-2016 02:05 PM

You only get what you can afford to pay for. It's a bidding war, using campaign funds.

You should get a better handle on your vocabulary. The definition of a bigot requires intolerance. I tolerate but I don't condone. There is a big difference. But, I have noticed that anyone that does not agree with your deviant lifestyle is immediately labeled a bigot. That is a very good way to create bigotry, because those of us that are willing to leave you in peace are eventually going to lose our patience with your childish, unbalanced tantrums. So, rather than alienating the moral majority, you should go about your lifestyle without attempting to seek attention and without attempting to force acceptance. There are many religious folks that will tolerate what they consider unholy, deviant behavior, even though their religion does not condone the lifestyle. Be satisfied with their Christian attitude of loving the sinner but not the sin. Just be careful who you alienate with your accusations of bigotry.

So when your state had a ballot measure banning same sex marriage and/or civil unions did you vote for or against it.

If you voted for it then you are forcing YOUR religious beliefs on the rest of us.

You have a constitutional right TO freedom of religion and we have a constitutional right to freedom FROM your religion.

The Supreme Court of the United State, a conservative court at the time, declared that Gays have a constitutional right to marry. Your freedom of religion does not trump our freedom to marry.

Corporations, who have been declared people by the Supreme Court, are exercising their right to freedom of speech!!

Funny how that works!

No one is FORCING their religion on you. On the other hand, since you are feeling so guilty, you wish to ban religion from everyone else, the majority. The Supreme court allowed for gay marriage, but that does not make it constitutional. There is nothing in the constitution that guarantees gay marriage or health care even though liberals like to believe so. The Supreme court cannot create laws, only interpret them as being within the guidelines of the Constitution or not. Just because the gov may protect your right to your deviant nature, does not make or force the moral majority endorse it. If you want acceptance, you have to convince the majority, not force the majority. Calling someone that does not agree with your perversion a bigot is not the way to convince, but it will alienate them.

No one can force Christianity on you. And only death will give you that absolute proof you need to convince you (too late) whether or not those Christians were/are right or not. There has never been an instance where one has been forced into becoming a Christian.

Yes, gays have been given the right to marry. However, they have not been given the right to marry in a church unless that church allows it. You still try to force churches to marry you, all the while trying to ban religion. And yet you attempt to convince everyone that you are normal.

Dear Guest: You are correct and its exactly why state rights should prevail over federal government but unfortunately it is not.

Believe it or not the true nature of the true nature for the Civil War was over state rights , trade between the North and south but it all got muddled intentionally with the race issue. No I am not condoning slavery which in itself is another topic and stretches back to the beginning of time in all cultures.

NC is a "right to work" state. It has been for a very long time. As you know this means "no unions" to simplify it. It also means that they can fire you for any reason, and I have seen it done like that. That kind of nullifies any idea that you are going to get any action on a discrimination suit. I don't pretend to know the details, only that I have seen how it has worked in the past. What this has to do with the new implied Christian protection status, I do not know. Good people conduct themselves with decency and do not need special laws for special groups, such as hate laws and special bathrooms for gender confused. It is unfortunate that some groups are so mentally unstable that they need laws changed to pander to them, which then cause more laws to be enacted just to protect the majority from them.

Boycott all you wish. Burn flags all you wish. Neither will garner the respect that you demand. The LGBT faction has negated a lot of any possible respect just by their ridiculous gay pride parades. If they want respect, then they should be respectful.

Dear Guest: As I recollect most states are at will meaning that you do not need a reason to fire anyone. However if you do cite a reason you best be able to support it. If its a discrimination issue then the plaintiff will file with the EEOC which will take its time ruling and may or may not grant permission for the plaintiff to file suit which in most cases it will. The EEOC rulings then become incorporated into the civil lawsuit.

An employee often will cite discrimination as a basis for being fired and if they are a protected class most definitely will at the insistence of their attorney. It is unlikely that an employee will file suit if his/her's is a summary firing.

Unions are a bastion against firings and its why union shops have so many under performers whether its in the private or public sectors. some will take umbrage at what I suggest but it is the truth striking at the heart of the matter especially with government and educational insititutions; albeit it is not prevalent in the union trades

Voted for banning same sex marriage.

I'm not religious, religion had nothing to do with it. It's perverted that's why I voted against queer marriage.

The SCOTUS is a corrupt political body, formed by the corrupt Senators. I hold them in low regard.

A perfect example, the SCOTUS ruled that "corporations are people". If that doesn't scream corruption, what does? An organization of business partners is a "person"?

Corruption, a corrupt system is "funny"?

Anyone boycotting NC because of their bathroom policy is just plain STUPID! I don't care if you like it or not, I believe in protecting females. If they don't like it, then I believe in protecting my females, wife, daughters and granddaughters. To allow idiots that think they are female that still have male body parts into a female restroom is perverted and very dangerous. There has already been instances of males dressing as females to enter girls' locker rooms. If you are confused as to what gender you are, then perhaps we should put signs on the restroom doors that indicate the proper male or female body part. If you have one then you can enter that particular restroom. No matter how you dress, if you can stand up to urinate, then you go into the male restroom. It really is that simple. NC has it right, and anyone that feels different is mentally defective, period. If you think that I would tolerate a male going into a restroom with my wife or daughter, then you better be prepared to be severely counseled if you attempt it. God didn't make mistakes. You can't choose what gender you wish to be on a whim. Sorry, but you don't always get your way just because your parents coddled you. Live with it. A sissy male is still a male. A masculine female is still a female, period.

The argument is that because 9 unelected judges decide to hear a case that really should have been sent back to the state of origin but went ahead and decided, and citing opinion which went well beyond the US Constitution, for a case that was never a constitutional issue in the first place. However, deciding same-sex marriage was protected suddenly and miraculously made same-sex everything normal.

Think on that, because its now legal its normal? That dog won't hunt.
Not for same sex marriage and not for abortion. Both of these issues should have remained state issue. Both should have been left to voters to decide in their respective states. Both of these issues were not logically driven but politically driven. AND BOTH OF THESE ISSUES GO AGAINST NATURE AND ITS NOT NICE TO FOOL MOTHER NATURE.

They have that covered...they teach our kids in school that it IS normal and everyone should be open to it. That's my biggest problem with the gay movement. Convincing everyone they/it's normal. Even got it taken out of the DSM through political pressure. Wanting to "stick it to a man in the ass" is normal eh?

They do the same with the racial issues, they teach in school that everyone is the same, with the same potential, when we all know it's a lie. But they keep drilling it into our heads and many believe it.

normal------the usual, average, or typical state or condition.

they teach our kids in school that it IS normal and everyone should be open to it.
You made that up.

they teach in school that everyone is the same, with the same potential

potential---latent qualities or abilities that may be developed and lead to future success or usefulness.

And what would you teach children? Give up. Don't even try. Why bother doing homework?

Why don't you sign up as guest speaker at The Villages Rainbow Club? If you make it out of there alive, sign up as a guest speaker at The Villages African-American Club.

I am sure you would be a big hit at both places.

Those are easy. All one need do is tell them what they want to hear. Sprinkled in with a lot of BUT don't expect what you do or are to be the norm....simply because you or it is not.

The current linguine spined, cowardly, political way of cowering every time some minority, special interest or sponsor group peeps is BS!

The special interest and minority groups do and get away with what they do because the silent majority...DOES NOTHING....as a result....the majority loses another one.

The notion of equality is being distorted to mean everybody is the same as everybody else and everybody has the same opportunity and everybody is entitled to what everybody else has or does.
I am happy to report that is not the way it works.
However, because of the laid back, do nothing majority the special interest and minority groups get away with acting like it is.

Call a spade a spade and a queer a queer....just don't expect everybody to have to accept it or want see it on display every day.

Guest 04-10-2016 09:16 AM

Eventually if the trend continues we won't even be able to discuss "abnormal" behavior.
