It appears to me that those, and I assume you feel this way, who think ALL the problems with smear politics come from the right, and none from the left......AND who also condemn folks on Fox without condemning those on MSNBC (Olberman, Maddow, etc) .....

1. Have very very short memories

2. Are part of the problem with this country and the great divide !

Rachel Maddow does NOT smear anyone. Her broadcasts are thoroughly researched and investigated. She doesn't scream at her guests, she doesn't get weepy and cry, she doesn't insult, and she doesn't lie.

Dr. Maddow doesn't take things at face value, she investigates - like the fact that most of these stupid "tea parties" are sponsored and financed by insurance companies. Insurance companies who are lying to a naive public in order to save their bottom line while raising the rates of the very people who are out there protesting for them.

* Rachel Maddow earned a degree in public policy from Stanford University.

* Rachel Maddow was awarded the John Gardner Fellowship.

* Rachel Maddow was the recipient of a Rhodes Scholarship did her postgraduate study at Lincoln College, Oxford (1995).

* Rachel Maddow completed her Doctor of Philosophy degree in politics (2001) from the University of Oxford.

Facts?

Insurance companies have one of the lowest profit margins in the private sector.

Insurance companies cannot compete across State lines. What does she say about that.

Why are you calling Liberals, Independents And Conservatives who attend Tea Parties stupid people? Thats very bad manners.

hmmm....

It's funny that Fox News (Noise) didn't cover the Gay Pride Rally that was almost double the size of any Tea Bag get-together. Well, not funny... just typical. :censored:

Fox

I forgot to mention. Did you conservatives notice the very extensive coverage
that Fox the honest News gave to the Gay Exhibitions.

The O'reilly Factor did reports on it twice so far this week.
Of course Libs do not know that because they listen to lies from the fly by networks.

Funny how they pound on Fox for being biased when MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, etc have been liberal slanted for years along with a good bit of the news papers and magazines.

Fox is of course #1 in the ratings along with almost every other conservative show on TV or radio. Apparently though, liberals are the only people on the face of the earth capable of telling the truth. Everyone else who doesn't fall in line with Obama is just a liar. :icon_bored:

See, when you use phrases like “Tea Bag” you are taking a cheap shot at those attending the rallies. It really doesn’t matter who are sponsoring rallies, insurance companies or SEI; Rupert Murdoch or George Soros. Those attending believe in a cause and should be respected for taking a public stand. It is a benefit of living in the US.

I'll quote myself here.

Quote:

You either fall in line with them or you are deemed a racist, bigot, homophobe, stupid, evil, angry mob or anything else to discredit what we believe.
That's all they have. That's their only playbook.

You ask a simple question like how much of what I earn belongs to you and why? Their only answer is it's Bush's fault. They can never directly answer questions. Why? Because liberalism fails every time it's tried.

Guest 10-31-2009 07:00 PM

Unfortunately, there's a lot of truth in what you say.

I long wanted to ask your Ted Kennedys, your Bill Clintons or your Jimmy Carters ONE question...

"How much is enough?"

At what point in the progressive tax scale would you be willing to say "stick a fork in it - it's done"?

Regrettably, the answer is always "more". Never a number - never a final carved-in-stone percentage.

Politics is the same as my industry - software. In my industry, we call it "feature creep".

The earth warms. The earth cools. Liberals, Marxists and other political opportunists use this natural phenomenon to create discord between the classes, raise taxes and penalize powerful, industrial nations by divesting them of their natural resources and treasures. Kind of a spread the wealth thing on a global level. It also gives posters an opportunity to strike their name calling, mean spirited colors and attack Conservatives with contrived, bombastic and somewhat pedantic rhetoric.

Must of gotten a new Thesaurus? Very impressed.

Sorry, I'll try to use more monosyllabic expression in future posts.

There you go again!

Have you ever tried to post using one syllable words? Did you know that the longest one syllable word in the English language is schtroumpfed? Technically its in the language of Schtroumpf (Smurf) not English. It's used by Smurfs as both a noun and a verb.

The two runner ups with 11 letters each are:

squirrelled

broughammed

I have been trying to figure out how to use them in a political forum.

How about....Obama, while being broughammed in his limo to a liberal charity fundraiser for the poor, took advantage of the blacked out windows to reach for a cigarette he had squirrelled away in his sock. If I can only work that whole "Smurf" thing into the limo I would hit the Trifecta with schtroumpfed. Wait....I think I just did.

Tony...is this too much of a stretch for the topic police?

Postscript: anyexit......"There you go again!", sounds like a Ronald Reagan line...you should really give attribution.

Admit it....you learned something about one syllable words today. Thanks for the cerebral exercise.

Interesting, but ... nah, I just can't bring myself to admit it. I could have gotten the same information from Wikipedia - as you did.

Your resources keep expanding. Good for you.
