Given the speech today and his plans for spending trillions of our tax dollars on Lord knows what I still ask a simple question to the Obama voters.

When in the history of modern civilization has a government ever spent itself or taxed itself out of a recession?

Everywhere else where "the Government" runs/ran the economy - USSR, Cuba, North Korea, Vietnam, PR China, half of Africa - their state of affairs is is/was appalling. Socialism is nothing more than a monarchy by non-royalty where the "have's" are few and the "have not's" are everywhere.
