I will back off now. Listen, if you read both websites (McCain and Obama) you will find lots to agree with because they are written by pros to solicit your vote.....for me, it is a simple matter of not wanting this country to make a radical turn left which if you know Sen Obamas background and efforts it will.

I suppose it is that simple....whether you want to turn sharp left to make a change or not. I dont, you do ! Just insure that you know what that left turn could mean !

Perhaps a more recent example of "promise" to change, and now many months hence....in addition to no change, Congress is at the lowest ratings ever....single digits...worse than Geo. W. ratings.....Nancy Pelosi.

The more relevant issue for me...IMHO...is the fact no matter who says it....no matter who gets elected....when they don't do what they "promise" ....we the people do nothing about it. And as I have posted many, MANY times before, the candidate(s) count on the apathy to go merrily on their way.

What needs to change is the American people need to demand MORE from the 545.....ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY DO NOT DO THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE......AS PROMISED!!!!

The apathy is not a partisan problem......it is a cross party major issue everybody knows about with no action taken by anybody for accountability. As the saying goes when in Washington do what they do in Washington.....NOTHING.... because nobody will do anything about it.

The silent majority needs to stand and be counted.......a hopeless cause I fear!

Bucco, I don't think Obama will or most importantly,be able, to make that left turn.
It won't be allowed and he is smart enough to know it. He is a very intelligent man. I think that, in itself, is a rare quality in DC. Cunning is in abundance there. I think he can be a hero. If he isn't, I'll be among you yelling for him to go away. I think he wants to do great things for this country. Like many, I am willing to give him the chance. If he abuses our trust, shame on him. He will not be elected to a second term. I hope he is a knight in bright shiny armour. Is that only in fairy tales? Can he help our Republic to again shine in the eyes of the world? I hope so...and it's the first hope I've had in some years.

Bucco, I couldn't agree with you more. I can't stand McCain, but Obama scares me to death. I feel our choices, this year, was between a Marxist, a Socialist and a Democrat running as a Republican. Sad!!

SALLY JO...for I believe the first time in my life, I am more AGAINST someone than FOR someone.

Sen Obama is a very scary figure to me at this point as you mentioned. I just can hope that people read about him and that during the next two months or so, more will come out about him that has not. Of course anyone who brings it out will be called a racist or some other name, but lets wait and see

Count me in....the ACLU's of the time have to stop as he said in the video.....both parties at fault but alas we only have two Presidential candidates to choose from. We need to spend more time paying attention to Congressional elections

I read that our troops are funding Obama at a 6:1 ratio. By that I mean Obama is getting six dollars to every one dollar collected by Mccain. This was from our troops overseas. I find that interesting.

Look buddy you can ask Lord Obama supporters till your blue in the face for a reason for their support but you will get no answer. I have asked all the lefties, libs, dems etc on this site for months and so have many many others but not one of them has been able to do so because they can't. They don't have a clue what Lord Obamas plans are because he is afraid to let us know. He knows ,if we did, he couldn't get elected. They don't like that I call him Lord Obama, but it fits to me because It takes a leap of faith to support him and you cant argue with someone over their faith.
Maybe I'm the only one ,but a poster asked when we where one nation under God, just the thought that someone could ask that question tells you alot about the state our country is in.

Sorry. I do read the world press, the right, left and middle. I seek to avoid tunnel vision.
