I see nothing creditable here that disputes the fact that Obama gave a good solution based speech. I want the budget fixed and he says he will do that if the republicans get out of the way. Whats not to believe. I think he sounded very sincere and I for one am ready to give him a chance. Boehner has not came up with any ideas. Let him have it. If it does not work, 2012 will have a Republican voted in. If it does work, the country is back on the right track. How can you see it as anything but a win win. We are 14 trillion down now, so 500 billion more will not be a big change. It is worth the risk to either fix the economy or get a Republican in office to try a different road. If you can't agree with that then just keep arguing until the next election and do nothing but complain about the Muslim in office.

Whatever~ Here's what I have come up with from Snopes so far regarding the Potus and his money. It says that he and the missus could afford the home in Chicago due to his best selling books that came out in August 2005...However, they bought the 1.6 million home in June of 2005. Does Snopes think we is dumb too? I too would love to know how he became a millionare prior to being elected president.

But getting back on the subject, Obama is talking old worn out political baloney, tax and spend and redistribution of wealth. As old as when the Pilgrims tried it back in the 1600's. VOTE NOBAMA 2012:pepper2: |
I think this plan is dead on arrival, and I think the President knows it. This is just a political strategy to position the people to see the Republicans as defending the wealthy.
Part of this plan calls for cutting military retirement benefits and pay. Way to appreciate the people in uniform. Equating payroll taxes with capital gains taxes is politically expedient but misleading. Why doesn't he try saying what he means. I guess we just have to wait to see what the Republican controlled Congress says, but it's not a sure thing the Democrat Senate would vote for this. (When I first saw this thread, the thing that came to my mind was "1600 Pennsylvania Ave") |

[QUOTE=The Villager II;396349]Great post and points to consider. Why some have to turn every tread into an I hate Obama post is so childish. He is in the WH so get over it already. Thanks for adding focus to the thread Richie. I also wait to see what Boehner counters with and I hope its not simply an Obama slam. We have so many adult problems and so many mindless and needless comments that add nothing to the discussions. FOCUS
He is in the WH so get over it already. How many times did we have to listen to this when GB was elected president by the Supreme Court? Shoes on the other foot now and it kind of pinches! |

Grammar...apparently you have no sense of humor. Doubt you actually read the post either... He made a bundle on books that weren't published until August 2005. Bought the home for 1.6million in June 2005. What is he clairvoyant too?:undecided: Or did you just assume that the books money came in prior to buying the home... |

The G'Nopers will once again circle their covered wagons and vote Nope on absolutely everything that this President sends to them. No matter what is best for the American people, if this President sends it to Congress, the G'Nopers will find some way to ballyhoo it and then blame President Obama for not passing what he wanted to in the first place.
Actually, Richie was right in his first glance of this posting thread. 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is the address of President Obama - and will stay his address until 2016. |

It's doesn't matter to me, really. I'll just let you go back to sleep now so you can continue your wonderful dream. |
I think it is tired old stuff that has not and will not work. This president is a miserable failure and he is desperate. The time for him to think about jobs was 2 1/2 years ago instead of wasting precious time with health care and his other agenda's. Priorities, put the people back to work then do healthcare. Unfortunately for the American people and his re-election campaign, he did everything in the wrong order. But when you have the Messiah Complex, you feel that everything you do is right.
