How does response contribute to civil discourse? Was this necessary?

Downright amazing that FOX Noise can get people so worked up over their lies. I remember a great class I took called "Propaganda and Public Opinion". It told of classic propaganda techniques. One is the Half-Truth". The one that works best is The Big Lie. FOX Noise has these techniques down perfect.

There seems to be very little civil or coherent discourse from the left these days, and I see that as a very good thing. Because the left has not a coherent argument to provide. It's all geared to just the attempted destruction of their opponent.

Tells me I have little to worry about in November 2012.

As for all the "ignore mania" happening on this forum; I won't be joining that trend. I don't fear the rising insanity of the left, but take comfort in it. The adults will prevail on this forum and in the coming elections.

It reminds me of the little children that cover their ears with their hands when they don't want to hear an opinion other then their own. If they don't hear it, it don't exist. Classic case of immaturity. Or is it denial?

Would it be totally insane to me to think that we are being invaded by Alinskyites?

I don't know and don't care about any drama that is/was here before I came along. I most likely won't be giving a crap about any future drama either. I left 6th grade a good time ago.

If anyone thinks I have been here before or whatever is certainly allowed to do so. You will be wrong. I came here roughly a month or so ago after being redirected for a restaurant review on Yelp!.

I find it funny that someone posts something so typical far-right loony about Obama, yet when someone posts a differing opinion the rabid dogs jump in for the kill. Anyone liberal, progressive, educated, and with half a brain knows how the odds stack against them on this forum. That kool-aid is powerful stuff!

I can understand if your opinion is that Politifact is partisan. In *my* opinion, they've done enough digs at Obama to maintain credibility with me.

What I'm a little unclear on is the stuff that Politifact quoted. They went to the actual pages of the bill to explain EXACTLY where the guy on Fox News (who was subsequently quoted by Victoria Jackson) got his facts wrong.

I mean, yes, there are people out there that if they told me the sky was blue, I'd look up. But the fact that Politifact can call Obama on his broken promises tells me that they're not into hyperpartisanship.

Are you saying you don't believe the text of the bill that clearly describes the Ready Reserve for what it is (and it's as much a private army as is the Salvation Army) - or that you don't believe Politifact is pointing people at the actual bill?

if you don't agree it must be the source thats wrong. Just more conservative double talk. They would rather believe in some bogus army nonsense,really anything that dispariges this President.

you are absolutely right (no pun intended). You have nothing to worry about in the elections of 2012. The Democrats will prevail with President Obama again and we do not have to worry that the USA will go back to the days of Bush and Cheney.
