Really? I know you have been reading the posts of our new and very angry poster. You can really say that after reading them?

Yes, but long term is what I mean. He will cool down and be ok in a month or so.

Truman wasn't into name calling he just alluded to the fact that if your in the kitchen there will be heat and if ya don't like it the door swings both ways.

This way there is no character assassination which seems to be so necessary to some!!!!! A trait that is usually displayed in anonymous encounters.

Yea, over-reliance on mockery rather than logical argument.;)

Your wrong Bugsy, I have campaigned here to stop attacks, mockery is a liberal trait, it is almost as bad as liberal whining , which we all know your aware of.;)

Actually, in all honesty, you've done your fair share of mocking posts yourself. Not that I disagree with the ultimate point you're making very often, but mocking it is. We all do it to some degree.

My mocking of some posts I consider laughable or silly or self serving are more rooted in sarcasm (as long as I'm amused and not angry), because that's MY style.

Mocking doesn't always have to be mean and the recipient might even understand and appreciate the humor. Didn't you and your friends go at each other when you were kids?

The thing is not to overtly insult the other person. It's sometimes a fine line and that's why some are overly sensitive to the mocking, but that's how I see it this day, Sept. 12th 2011.......Back to you Chet

Enjoy the round and the game. It's gonna be a lovely evening and I'll be out and about with the guys. I would have liked to catch the Tea Party Debate just for the hell of it, but there's too much to do that's more fun. I guess I'll catch up with the debate in the print and online media manana.

No, I haven't. I may be wrong, but I don't think there are too many political posters at those affairs. I'm not really a one trick pony and do post on other categories, but I'm not sure I'd really fit in.

I have only been to 2 and there were a wide range of folks and it was kind of fun. Bill and Brillo will be there and I have to thank Bill for all his help. I think you would fit in fine...no political talk there as far as I could tell. Just nice conversations.

if the so called partisan loggerhead(s) are the current excuse for not being able to get things done....why did he not breeze through all the things he wanted when it was all Dem controlled???

I truly believe he thinks he is a catalyst, a thinker, a talker, a promiser and that it is up to everyone else to do something. I further believe he really feels he has addressed an issue/problem when he speaks about it...then he is done. What else could one conclude when most of what he says or promises just hits the floor when he leaves the microphone or the teleprompter stops scrolling.

He cannot assess leadership since he has never lead.

This is not bashing, it just happens to be the as-is persona/capability (or not) of the man. He talked his way into the WH...I guess in some fashion they all do, but some do deliver on SOME of what they talked about. Obama's can point to multi billion $$$$ stimulous programs and Obama care...one of which did not work and the other will not work.

Just listen as he puts "congress" between him and getting the job done...

billiethekid: Quite an intelligent summary and should have provided a basis for some good discussion but all I read for the next 8 pages was "is so, Is not, Is so, Is not, Is so, Is not. If I am correct the breakdown began with the first claim of racism. How some folks can make a logical jump from disagreement to acts of racism is a mystery. So as an American of Italian descent I'll find this instructive and the next time I hear some one say they do not like a tomato meat sauce on their pasta I am gong to know they despise Italians....I am just going to know OMG!

Rubicon,We can all just bury our heads in the sand and pretend racism does not exist..I know for a fact and have seen it in writing through private e-mails from several neighbors and friends of mine in the Villages and they are outspoken tea party members..I believe that is what is currently driving the hate towards Obama along with his stance on corporations...

That said,I don't think he's a great leader either and I hope this election doesn't end like the last one,"lesser of the two evils".

Guest 09-13-2011 04:56 PM

Racism will be here for eternity, it is human nature. It is a minority and isn't worth spending the time to talk about it. Remember, it was not very long ago that e-mails and posters of George Bush looking like a monkey were everywhere. If they put pictures of Obama looking like that would it be racist, or are they saying he is stupid like I presume the liberals thought Bush was?
