It's also good news that Trump’s proposed budget hasn’t kicked in, because it would cut the Federal Emergency Management Administration’s (FEMA) state and local program grants by $767 million, or about 30 percent, and cut HUD’s disaster relief by $3 billion.
Talent on the ground is critical. Money to pay for it, and help victims of natural disasters, is as important.
Oh, and did I mention that hurricanes are increasing in intensity because of climate change, and that Trump's EPA is busy eliminating regulations to help stop it, and that he also pulled out of the Paris accord?
