Default Palin is a Role Model...!

for women and other reformers....

This is what Sen. McCain said.....does he even know what he is saying!!

Are we, as women, reformers??? Why isn't she a rold model for men...that aren't reformers.....well ofcourse there is always Joe 6 Pack!

What a good old boy attitude!!

I can't imagine what she'd be a role model for! She's under investigation for abuse of power as governor; her young daughter is pregnant out of wedlock; her interviews on CBS news show her to be uninformed - does she even read a newspaper? She's set women's rights back about 100 years... you "betcha"...

My wife said the same thing lastnight while watching the debate. Not a roll model for her. McCain stood up for her, as he should have. But by far the roll model he insist.

I believe it would indeed be the same if she were a Dem....if the behavior is the same....there are many democrats that are just as bad!!!
But it was just the way he said it...a role model for woman...give me a break!

I sincerely hope the same would be said regardless of what her political affiliation. She is certainly not someone I want my daughter to hold in high regard. The abuse of power issues are a big thing in my mind both when she was mayor and while governor. I won't comment about her daughter -- that is a personal, private issue and something that could happen in any family. She does fine so long as she can follow the party rhetoric but if she has to speak extemporaneously, she is frightening in her lack of knowledge.

Her plusses just aren't enough. To me, the fact she is pretty is irrelevant. There is no question she has been willing to stand up for what she feels is right and that is a tremendous plus. She is charismatic and a good speaker. She can get down to a level that is easily understood.

I was not thrilled with the choice of Gov Palin....didnt and do not like it,

HOWEVER, if you all would visit SNOPES or FACTCHECK or anywhere you want to take care of most if not all of your concerns. She is not a bad person as you might imply...she did nothing wrong and if you read the thread I began about Sen Biden, that is MUCH MUCH WORSE, but we dont mention that...wonder why ? Well, if she were a Democrat she would be hailed and frankly I could understand that....what Sen Biden did with the money was much worse than making a phone call...and if you want more on Sen Biden I will be glad to give them to you but that does not make Sen Biden a bad man NOR DOES it mean that he is a role model for anyone either.

I am a Democrat. Trust me. Palin would not be hailed. She would be the embarrassment she is to the Republicans. Very, very poor choice.

Default Isn't there a little inconsistency in view point???

As I have stated in other posts, how can any of you in good conscience single Palin out for the things the media/politico microscope?
My question, AGAIN, is why isn't the same scrutiny applied to the lechers, liars, thieves, whore mongering politicians already holding office in the Senate? the Congress? State or city positions?

Not only is it over looked....it must be accepted. Some of these low or no ethics people have been re elected multiple times.

To single out Palin is nothing more than prejudiced rhetoric for the self satisfaction of the partisan oriented thought process....I assume it is a process!

Some may be so far along it is a natural reaction like blinking.....no thought required....it just happens.

If you are going to try to act as though there is some magical standards for politicians....please try to apply it across the board and then priortize where the bigger problem is. I am sure the Palin petty bu comparison issues, real or not can't compete with the all too many trash ethic incumbents .

Of course, you would think that of Sarah Palin, ladies. The media has shaped and formed everything they want you to know so you will elect their candidate. They threw a blanket over Joe Biden and he gets a pass for the idiotic things he's said and done.

I totally agree with Billethkid and Peachie. We say we're tired of the hypocrites in DC and want a change. Then when someone new and different comes along, we compare the person with the people in DC we want to see out of office. I wonder if our forefathers would have met with the present standard we seem to have.

I don't think the media shaped and formed Palin at all. I think it was the McCain campaign itself that kept her under wraps and threw her into the deep end.

Also, Belle, with all due respect, people want change not dumb.
Just my opinion.

I didn't care for Hillary too much. Compared to Sarah she is an absolute professional. She is a role model for women. Look at all the abuse she took from the media.

Remember the personal attack by John McCain?

Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? Because her father is Janet Reno!

John McCain.......... always in the gutter.
