Patriotic Children
There a group of children, specifically the 3rd grade class of Tussing Elementary School in Virginia, who've recorded a new song of patriotism that I think will lift your spirits and give you hope that the future of our nation is not lost.
It only more teachers were teaching our children in the inherent good of the USA and instilling a sense of patriotic pride like the teachers in this school in Virginia. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZAVzNlwxvw&feature=player_embedded[/ame] These inspirational tykes have recorded 2 songs previously and I've provided the links if you need more reason to smile. http://newzeal.blogspot.com/2010/02/...-soldiers.html http://newzeal.blogspot.com/2010/09/...ro-on-way.html |

I don't understand. Don't we have the government to take care of us? Who needs friends and neighbors when we have Uncle Sam to tend to our needs? It takes a village, don't ya know?
(Just kidding, great video) |

I have attended many, many, many, vocal and instrumental presentations in the very fine Lakota Public schools in West Chester, Ohio and I have heard many, many, many medleys of lovely patriotic music. (Well played and sung too, even if they were my grandchildren!)
I don't think we need worry about that. Our teachers teach the traditional music in most places I would think. There is no separation of state and state. AND they also have had medleys of classic religious music. If you want to enjoy beautiful music, including patriotic music, try to get tickets to most high school productions. It will make you feel all warm and fuzzy. |

Well Gracie, many times in the past 30 years I wished I lived in the middle of this great country instead of the Northeast. The politics in our public schools is terrible.
I remember this class I had in the 4th or 5th grade. We had this older lady who played the piano and us kids would sing. She played inspirational songs like "Onward Christian Soldier" She was so animated and bubbly when she played that it was contagious to us kids. Try playing one of those songs in New England today and sadly, they would fire the teacher. |
