If I had to guess, the Savannah center was chosen by the Secret Service for security reasons. A lot has changes since Sarah Palin was here in 2008.

So in the big cities the security is better therefore the venus are larger? That doesn't seem logical to me.

It was an answer to a question. No the Savanah center does not hold 20,000 since Madison Square Garden holds only 18,000.

As I said, I'm just guessing, but thinking about it, I've noticed all the venues seem to be enclosed.
Arenas, aircraft hangars etc. The Savannah center is the largest enclosed venue in the Villages.

Trump and Pence would have many enemies from their various statements unlike Palin and McCain. Still there is the place which used to be the Church on the Square. Which holds what?

You have a population of 140,000 or so now in the Villages?? About 70% of these are Republicans.

And 850 show up for this event.

I'm just musing too and posing a question. And like you wondering how someone will turn it into much more then it is. You just never know.

My hunch is that in the Savannah Center, Pence could get in and out quickly. He has the village vote, so that won't grow. If 20k white villagers show up at a rally that won't change anyone's mind that's young and not white.

Missing the point. Other venues like the Polo Field would have been options. The Polo Field could have handled 50,000 or so.
