As a new day dawns on the political forums, here is a possibly unpopular post in regards to decorum.
These are political forums, so emotion tends to run high. Add to that the anonymous nature of the posts, and it becomes an insult fest. Fine, those seem to be the rules of the game, if you can't handle it, play elsewhere. But I would hope that at the end of the day, we realize it should all pretty much be in good fun. If you are SO serious, SO committed to your cause, I suggest you apply the following litmus test: Would I respond face to face verbally the same way I posted a response anonymously?
Vile personal attacks are another matter. You are making personal assumptions about someone you do not know. They do not come anywhere near reflecting poorly on the victim as they do on the attacker. Remember, the poster you villainized may live next door to you. If you doubt it, why not walk outside and tell your neighbor that you just called someone on TOTV a "#^%$#" because he expressed opinion "xyz". You should have just a little fear that YOU will then get slammed, to the ground. ESPECIALLY if I am your neighbor
