Wow you make it so simple. I guess that makes you a simoleton.

Wow David, I guess that makes you what? for not understanding it?

Tell me how Obamas tax program has helped the economy. Oh, and don't forget to explain the GDP growth, or lack of it to me. Because Obama is the ONLY president in history to not achieve a 3% GDP average growth rate in one year of his two terms of office. That my friend, is failure.

Because it very seldom works.

Having spent a good portion of my career developing and managing very large expense & capital budgets...we went through a short phase of 'zero-based budgeting.'

Even making the huge effort of breaking down individual functions, the documented hours for each function, applying actual hourly (including burden & benefits)/material/equipment costs and using hard previous years data to prove the quantity of those functions I identified...it came down to "our profit goal for next year will not allow the budget you're requesting."

Of course there are opportunities to decrease spending.

It all boils down to...whose Ox is getting gored.

What I think is wasteful and superfluous, will not be what you think is...so who gets to make that choice?

Especially in the public/political arena, so compromises are made and everyone gets a little...and loses a lot.

If I were Governor of a state and was given full, final and autonomous authority over the budget...I guarantee I could quickly balance it. :ho:

I can also guarantee that given you are such a simpleton, you would be squealing and screeching...about what I cut. :D

Oh well, I can only fantasize of seeing your bloated & enraged face...when that occurred. :1rotfl:

Your post was okay untill the last 2 paragraphs and then you morphed into a radical repub. I think you can do better than that! Are you trying to imitate trump?

You obviously haven't seen many of my posts.

Actually, my cuts would be to every and all corporate welfare/subsidies, business tax exemptions and taxpayer money used to lure multi-billion dollar businesses (who don't need them)...while helping those who are less fortunate and need it the most.

Do you really think that sounds like Chump?

For a minute I thought there was going to be a civil discussion then you had to go and :censored: it up with the :censored: name calling.

You are obviously incapable of carrying on a cogent conversation without faaling into the slime mode. And oh by the way try to get the :censored: name right while you are at it.

Must be self gratification. Why else would someone feel the obligation to constantly be a :censored:?

End result; not worth engaging.

Maybe you should look who put stumbling blocks ever time he tried to do something. The repubs announced when he took office that as long as they could breath they would block all his efferts.

The corporation I worked for utilized zero base budgeting and it worked very well. Our industry was heavily regulated and so we had to be accurate or be penalized.

We kept a close watch on budgets. All budgeted items ,personnel, equipment, compensation, benefits salary increases, promotions ,etc had to be accompanied with a written rationale to validate need/ merit. We did an in depth retrospective review every August followed by a projection through year end.

There is so much redundacy in the congressional budgets that they could skip a budget year and no one would notice. In addition there are so many obsolete and forgotten programs that continued to be funded that I'd wager if a cracker jack CPA was hired just to route them out s/he would have a lifetime job and probably reduce this nations expenses by 25% a year.

Congress is dealing with other peoples money so they could care less. Also they live in a self contained world and have no idea of the real problems everyday Americans face. The political class is today's aristocracy and when it comes to taxpayers, "let them eat cake"

Don't forget that the Repub's actually stated that their primary agenda...was to ensure that Obama was a one-term President.

They then tried to block/stop... EVERY SINGLE THING OBAMA ATTEMPTED TO DO.

And here it is, straight from McConnell's mouth, so Repub's can't lie about it being misconstrued...by the 'mainstream media.'

And yet, Trump cultists are now whining...that the Dem's won't just roll over?

That's some first class...and serious hypocrisy. :ohdear:

Once again, you're clueless and just writing (with the hope that someone will believe you)...just to be writing something.

Do you even have a clue as to the definition of 'discretionary spending'...or what percentage of the budget it comprises?

Here, let me TRY and educate you. :ohdear:

US Federal Budget FY17 Estimated Spending Breakdown - Pie Chart

Now tell us, how do you get to that 25% you just bragged (actually lied) about? :D

And for once, try to provide links to prove your statement... ;)

Obviously when (unt claims there is waste in government spending - there is. But until late then every dime spent was necessary. Thank goodness she is only in charge of her keyboard...Trump will cut costs in f35 and airforce 1...Obamma and (unt felt it was just fine...

Well Davie, I guess Obie is just not much of a leader, if he can't lead his own troops. Then again, how could he understand leadership if he thinks he can lead from behind. Where I come from, that's called FOLLOWING. So, if he is following how is he going to steer, controlling the direction?

To tell you the truth, I can't really blame Obie. After all, he has never held a management job or ever had any leadership training. Seriously, he was way in over his head and would not admit it and had no one to tell him. He only wanted people working for him that were "yes sir" types.

He'll see a leader now. I'm sure that Trump has that part down pat.

Including corporate welfare in the form of huge tax breaks for profitable corporations that don't need it?

THE FACTS-our corporate taxes are among the highest in the world.
Your view the tax the rich, increase corporate taxes. Is YOU thoughtlessly PARROTING what the democratic PROPAGANDA MACHINE is feeding you.
A corporation is simply a form of business to raise capital.
The owners are the stock holders. YOU surely own stocks although you may not even know it. If, you have a pension, a medical plan, a 401K, a 403B, a roth IRA, a regular IRA it is invested in stocks. YOU ARE ONE OF THE EVIL STOCK OWNERS. Due to our higher corporate taxes many AMERICAN CORPORATIONS have bought foreign companies so that they can move operations out of our country and pay lower taxes. TAX BENEFITS? Are you not aware that to temp FOREIGN OWNED COMPANIES-CORPORATIONS-TO SET UP FACTORIES HERE WE GIVE THEM TAX BREAKS-TO USE YOUR TERM CORPORATE WELFARE-MY ADDITIONS-PAID TO FOREIGN OWNED COMPANIES.

DON'T NEED IT-is a socialist/communist view. From each according to his ability to each according to his need. It is actually a nice idea BUT, YOU ONLY NEED TO LOOK AT EAST GERMANY VS WEST GERMANY or the recent GREEK FIASCO to see that it simply does not work.

The roles are reversed almost exactly. For his first two years the DEMOCRATS controlled not on the presidency but BOTH HOUSES OF CONGRESS. Obama and his democratic followers tried to blame the previous administration=the republicans-and the minority party-the republicans, for all the evils in the world. It was not until the democrats LOST the majority control when Obama and the democrats said hey guys we need to work together.
THE REPUBLICANS REMEMBER HOW BADLY OBAMA HAD TREATED THEM.

HISTORY-When Bush took office his first act as president was to invite the democratic leader KENNEDY for a meeting to discuss COMMON GOALS. They both agreed we needed to improve EDUCATION. The result was a BIPARTISAN BILL creating no child left behind. OBAMA'S FIRST ACT AS PRESIDENT WAS TO BLAME THE REPUBLICANS FOR ALL THE EVIL IN THE WORLD. We've all had bosses like OBAMA. I would like to believe, I GOT HIM FIRED. I OF COURSE KNOW THERE WERE OTHERS AS WELL. OH, IT DID NOT TAKE 8 YEARS TO GET RID OF HIM.

THE FACTS-our corporate taxes are among the highest in the world.

Why do you lie so much?

Have you ever bothered to do your own research, instead of automatically believing...whatever Faux News tells you?

Do you even know what 'effective rate' means?

Does the U.S. have the highest corporate tax rate in the free world? | PunditFact

Quote:

The most recent estimate comes from the World Bank and International Finance Commission, which put the United States’ effective rate for 2014 at 27.9 percent. That’s second-highest behind New Zealand among OECD countries and 15th-highest among the 189 countries measured.

In 2011, the Tax Foundation published a survey of 13 prior estimates of the United States’ effective tax rate from 2005 to 2011. All 13 studies pegged the U.S.’s rate as above average, but none had the U.S. rate first overall.

Another 2011 study by the Congressional Research Service put the U.S. effective rate at 27.1 percent, slightly lower than the OECD average of 27.7 percent.

BTW, that was a rhetorical Faux News question as it is extremely obvious...that you are so gullible when it comes to the truth. :D

You "improve" education by NOT lowering the standards so any "special needs" or minority can pass. You "improve" it by RAISING the standards. If only white men can pass...so be it.

"No child left behind" really means...we lowered the standards so much even a monkey can "pass"...even women and minorities can "pass".
