When other peoples money runs out and the government can no longer give, who is going to call the shoots, the "Nuns on the Bus," the Cathloic Bishops. Its about time that the American slobs who think that taking other peoples money is owed to them, grab their boot strapes, pull themselves up, grow up and take care of themselves.

What is wrong with helping the unfortunate??? Too many selfish people that dont give a damn about anybody else.

This is ludicrous to think that this "Reverend" matters in the least.

Appears pretty desperate to me.

What does Dr. Phil think?

A few days ago, the Republicans were crowing about Clint Eastwood endorsing Mr. Romney. Seems somewhat the same - except that people have heard of Clint Eastwood.

I would like to know what a consensus of Playboy centerfolds think of Romney for President. (with pictures, of course)

I had never heard of the Reverend, but I read the articles and find him to on the right side of kindness that is often lacking from politicians. Giving to the undeserving is against my wishes, but giving to the needy, helpless is a godly thing to do. I do believe when Ryan's policy intentions are laid out on the table, more votes will be lost from Romney and given over to Obama. I like his determination to balance the budget, but find him a little to anxious to take a poor mans pennies. Hopefully if they win the election, Romney can keep a tight rein on him.

Did I ever mention Clint Eastwood? Only looney leftists on this forum mentioned Clint Eastwood.

Leftists are the champs at saying absolutely nothing with the most fervor.

And the Catholic Bishops can be called "morally reprehensible" for their silence on the pedophile priest rapists they kept moving around to other parishes where they'd eventually prey on other innocents. But ungodly statists will use them to support a point anyway.

And the Georgetown faculty, whom United Church of Christ pastor Currie used....oops....I mean "cited" in his column, could be termed "morally reprehensible" for hiding the Christian cross by covering it with drapes when Obama stood at the lectern in front of it and proclaimed HIS wisdom and throne in the Christian "social justice" domain.

Focusing on Paul Ryan's individual catholicity-christianity, nor Georgetown Jesuits' collective liberation theology that emboldens them to hide the cross symbol of Christ's true spiritual mission on earth, is not a path toward developing ideas and solutions to the current imminent collapse of this nation's economy.

It's time to grow up and admit that a BANKRUPT nation will be able to help NOBODY, poor or rich or in between.

This speaks to that concept:

Paul Ryan corrects those confused on combating poverty- YouTube!

ilovetv: Well stated

Giving to a charity should be a personal issue and people should give what they can afford when they can affor it. I was as offended about my church publishing how much each parishoner gave of previous week as I was when the company I worked for demanded a set amount from each manager as proof of their leadership abilities for a cerain charity campaign which had become a big political issue in our company.

I also wonder why all the Chuck Currie's of the world live so well. A hand up yes. A hand out no. To paraphase you can continue to being fish to a man or teach the man how to fish.

All of this to say the preacher's allegation are nonsensical scare tactics, bogeyman stories
