Default One of my favorite musicals.

Who among you can tell what Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof said on this subject?

The class warfare game seems to get in the way of any attempt to budget reasonably !

What is this source website anyway, and who writes it, and where are the footnotes to back up one figure?

This is a photo/image sharer website that's linked where this chart comes from and not a news group or even an advocate site.

It is no shame to be poor, but it is no great honor either.

What ever, you can be poor, but proud, as long as one takes pride in himself and family, then you are richer by far.

I was quoting Tevye...a line he says in the musical, Fiddler on the Roof.

Someone also said, "I have been poor and I have been rich and rich is better."

And still another quote that I personally believe and have told my children and my grandchildren. "If you want to be rich, get up early and work hard, and do it every day for a long time."

Default Most so called "poor" do not feel as poor as

we who have a lot tend to measure them. There is a tendency to measure the "poorness" from afar by what is perceived as that which they do not have (by those that have).

The "poor" do not measure themselves that way...some do of course. Isn't there a saying about not being able to miss that which one does not have???

Some that have could learn a lot from the "poor".

And there are those blessed "poor" who have no idea what those that have are talking about!!
