Reverend Jeremiah Wright At It Again

QUOTE=DaleMN;520436]How benevolent of the Repubs to educate those poor ignorant black people, bringing them the light of knowledge, raising them up from the depths.....omg. :ohdear:[/QUOTE]

DaleMn I missed this post initially. Your reference to 'educate" triggered an article I read the other day concerning Rev Jeremiah Wight. It seems he believes white people are infecting black people with their alien DNA. He further explains that these balck people who attend Brown U, Harvard, Yale USC, etc are being infected with alien DNA.

Essentially what he is saying is that these folks have been provided the opportunity to be educated and hence opened up to the world of economics, etc. which has changed their prospective on life. I guess Wright would prefer they stay uneducated and remain in poverty in the ghettos so he can force feed them his anti-american/white propanganda. Can you imagine.

Also along those same lines I am pondering why Morgan Freeman is making such a point publicly to the fact that Obama is NOT the first black president but the first white and black president. There is an angle there but I have yet to discover it????

""Today, Romney for President released a new television advertisement titled 'No Evidence,'" the Romney campaign will say in a press release, when the ad is formally released later this morning. "Just like he did against Hillary Clinton, President Obama now continues to spread dishonest attacks about Mitt Romney to distract from his failed record. Even though fact check after fact check have found his claims to be false, he continues to mislead the American people. It is no wonder why our country has lost confidence in his leadership."

New Romney Ad Calls Obama Liar, Dishonest | The Weekly Standard

A soundbite for sure but now hopefully we begin to point out the lies.

And this, in my opinion, the highlight of the speech...

"do these five things – open up energy, expand trade, cut the growth of government, focus on better educating tomorrow’s workers today, and restore economic freedom – and jobs will come back to America, and wages will rise again. The President will say he will do those things, but he will not, he cannot, and his record of the last four years proves it."

What relevance does your posting have to do with the topic of the thread entitiled Romney Reaches Out To The Black Community?

ChaCha-
What percent of the Black vote do you predict that Mitt will receive this year? My prediction is about 8%.

About the same as the percentage of Mormons who will vote for Obama.

Those of us who actually watched/listened to Romney's speech know that his appeal was to ALL people, not just those of a certain COLOR.

It shows tremendous stereotyping and bigotry to presume that none of the NAACP people would listen and think about views that challenge their current views/positions. The standing ovation at the end clearly indicates this.

His illustration in the beginning, as to how a republican gets elected governor in Massachusetts when republican registration is 11%, demonstrated clearly that he won that seat by appealing to ALL people in the state.

He appeals to all people's INTELLIGENCE and capacity to think and reason, also......instead of appealing to only the non-thinking population's desire for a "free lunch" and free ride instead of earning a living by working and earning one's way.

Actually, Romney was elected MA governor in 2002 with 49% of the votes. And in 2002 of the total registered voters: 13% were R, 36% were D and 50% were I (or unenrolled). As you can see most MA voters register as unenrolled or "I" because of the open primary.

And when his term was up he was at 34%, I believe.

I watched Mitt Romney's speech yesterday and never heard him mention that under his tax plan, anyone making $30,000 per year will see their taxes go up while millionaires and billionaires will see their taxes go down by as much as $250,000. I also saw VP Biden give a stem-winder of a speech today to the same group to much applause.

I think both Romney and Obama are patiotic and fine examples of Americans, but they do have different opinions on some issues. My point is niether of them are the evil people a few try to make them out to be on this site.

Wow, I agree, but you won't find many allies on here.

I consider Romney the best of the Republicans that ran, and Obama has a wonderful vision and message if it works out for him and us, so I don't really have a dog in this race. Since I am not the parinoid type, I think they both can lead us slowly back to prosperity.

Your right and I don't think he had very many minority or elderly poor votes anyway.

golfingnut:Actually many people have said including his half brother that Obama detested what he believes is america's colonialism and thus has an agenda to reduce American staus among nations.....just saying

If this isn't true then he is doing an awful good imitation of it. I am refraining with politiness
