Richie has a good point when he said each to their own, "But again, to each his own. I am also a guy who finds Coulter hilarious, informative and brilliant, so there's that to consider."

Personally, I find Bill Maher hilarious and brilliant. His humor is not venom like Coulter but is brilliant. I am glad that Richie says, "To each his own"

To each his own; but Maher is not venomous? You gotta be kidding. I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything when I read that.

I think it would have been priceless to have a photo of you spewing Yeungling out of your nose while reading my posting about Bill Maher.

I guess he was entertained by the conversation and I'm not sure who was being pompous in that discussion.

Rush hasn't been the biggest thing on radio for as many years as he has by not knowing how to run his show. Some people don't deserve more time, especially if they're not quickly answering a question or are just borrrrringggg.

You're well informed enough without Limbaugh, so it's not vital for you to listen to him. I read and read and read some more, and whenever I get a chance I do listen to Rush's show, and I always hear an angle to a story I hadn't considered. But again, to each his own. I am also a guy who finds Coulter hilarious, informative and brilliant, so there's that to consider :)

Richielion If Ann Culter were a man and if instead of words it was swords she was crossing she'd be Zorro. She is that fast and can cut that deep with a word....and I guess the reason some folks just can't appreciate her; especially folks who truly believe blonde jokes She certainly makes Bill Maher look slow intelligent wise. Wouldn't love to see those two debate. The boys in Vegas would have a field day.

By the way I do believe that Rush is a brilliant guy I just hate when someone monopolizes a conversation

Heh. I *like* Bill Maher and *I'll* admit he's gotten increasingly nasty over the past few years.

One difference between Maher and Limbaugh is that there have been some topics where Maher has questioned his own opinions - like giving Bush some credit for some events in the Middle East. As near as a quote as I can remember, I've heard him say "Is it possible that, in the big picture, Bush was right about some of this?". He'll go on to criticize aspects of us being in the Middle East but there's at least some debate in there.

Lately, his 'thing' has been the "GOP bubble" and how facts on certain topics don't seem to enter it. He's also on Obama's case for being very ineffective (at best). He seems to have a great deal of respect and admiration for the way the GOP can stay "on message" while the Democrats just wander around their talking points like lost kittens.

When I find myself agreeing with Richie and buggy at the same time, I then read plong to set me on the right track.

THE CROSS I HAVE THE BURDEN OF CARRYING IS:

I am a Fiscal conservative player, thinking democratically, voting Independently, country raised boy that spent my adult life in large cities. I am so confused.

But, I still think Romney is our best hope for 2012.

Interesting! You and I may have been twins, seperated at birth.

This thread turned out to be pretty cool. I'm loving all the comments and the thought behind them.

I have to defer to DJ on his analysis of some of Maher's thoughts, as I haven't had the will to listen to him in a long time because my wife gets mad when I yell at the TV. I only read and listen to sound bites posted on the web, and we all know that's often out of context.

Richie, I have no problem believing you and understanding your criticism of Maher. I find myself wishing he'd tone it down *just* a tad - you don't always have to have it turned up to '11'.

His New Rules are still hysterical.

But, really, it's his panel discussions that are the stars of the show. He'll bring on conservatives AND liberals - and give the conservatives credit for coming into a lion's den audience of liberals. Being able to listen to them go back and forth on a given topic for more than just a sound bit is somewhat refreshing.

Rush Limbaugh

He is an entertainer. Similar to The Three Stooges, Abott & Costello, Grocho Marx, Jay Leno, David Leterman, and all the other comedians.

The shape of this country right now is a great reason to appreciate every comedian we can get. Just keep laughing and at the same time try to improve on our situation.

I think we have another comedian here, because this post is pretty funny.

Hey, The Three Stooges fits perfectly. Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and Sarah Palin.

Three would never be a sufficient number. There's Michelle & Sean & Newt & Herman & Glenn &...oh you get the point.

I understand that Fox New channel is being taken over by The Comedy Channel. More comedians on Fox News than any other station.
