The gist I got from the stories I've read is that the guy saw Martin and was suspicious. He followed him and the cops, on the 911 call, told him to leave it to THEM. He then complained that the cops always let these kids get away. From that, it sounded like he was determined to DO something.
Look, we're very protective of gun rights here in NH - but this sounds sketchy. It sounds like a proper trial is needed. |

If Rev Sharpton and Charles Blow, of the New York Times, and others had not brought this case to the forefront, it would have been swept under the rug and not even investigated. Meanwhile, the alleged shooter roams the streets with his 9mm semi-automatic weapon even though he has commited crimes in the past. How can you claim self-defense when you're the one in the vehicle and the victim is on foot? |
gun rights is not the issue here.
The problem is emotional public reaction without real evidence....what the media is espousing is not evidence....it is almost all hear say. It is as stated earlier a 100% racist celebrity showing, led by the poster children of hypocracy. And yes if the guard were white all we would hear about is white VS black which is almost all we are hearing when it is a latino that is involved. And is it not of interest to some why this fact is never pronounced in the rantings? btk |
and yet another politician speaking out of racial emotion by stating the boy was killed because of the color of his skin...
Martin's death "compromises the integrity of our legal system and sets a horrific precedent of vigilante justice," Congressional Black Caucus Chair Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) said in a statement. "As a nation we cannot, should not, and will not ignore, Trayvon's brutal murder and the inconceivable fact that his killer remains free. ... Trayvon had a family, friends and a future all taken away because of the color of his skin." 100% racist based for her to make such an inflammatory personal racist opinion and using the visibility of her position to speak with implied authority....with only one objective to secure her black constituency.....NOTHING more. btk |

I knew that when I was typing....musta been a brain fart...
Gender aside my comments are still appropriate for the racial statement HE made. btk |
What is going on in this country...
An MSNBC host is saying the the language of Rush Limbaugh, Rick Santorum and Newt Gingerich set the tone and stage for the death of this young man. Farrakhan has said there will be retaliation. Al Sharpton is at the scene stoking the fires. Those that I have heard speak or read quotes are demanding arrest, trial AND CONVICTION...IMMEDIATELY. The President of the United States, who said he would not comment is commenting at length. Here, in The Villages, on the political forum the case is being discussed. This is a tragic case and there are tragic cases each day in this country but what is being done here is just wrong...just plain wrong. How does justice ever get done in this country in an arena like this ? I have no idea what happened as I do not in almost all cases that occur in this country each day! I do know that a number of innocent people are presently being used and will continue to be used. And add this to the mix... "Nation of Islam representatives were on scene in Sanford, too, peddling merchandise and trying to enlist new recruits. James Muhammad, the assistant regional minister of the Nation of Islam’s seventh region, told TheDC that he and others from his organization were on scene because of “injustice.” Read more: http://dailycaller.com/2012/03/23/tr...#ixzz1pyR7yOZe |
I place the blame squarely on the shoulders of the media for all this excitement. They blow everything up to ridiculous proportions and cause every media hungry charlatan out there to want to get a piece of the media attention for themselves, and it doesn't even matter what 'slant' the particular reporting agency has because they will blow it up to suit their own needs anyway...:22yikes::loco::cus::shrug:

My god!....What is wrong with all you people. A young man is dead...you get it, dead. It makes me sick.

No posts on here that I have seen have expressed anything but agony over the young mans death....the impetus to post on here, lets say for me anyway, is the political circus being made of this young boys death and the message it is sending. I said when I made my first post that I didnt want to and I am so sorry I did...it is becoming..no, it already is...a red versus blue kind of thing. NOW THAT MAKES ME SICK. The boys God is taking care of him and him memory is being used. |
yes indeed we do get it.
Do you not get that his death is being exploited by every black opportunist including Obama and that exploitation is being magnified beyond reason by the media. btk |
Now, let's not get racial on here. One young man was killed in a needless fashion by another young man. It never should have happened.
It is just wrong to get on a racial bent here over a tragedy for both parties. |

This Wikipedia article on the shooting of Trayvon Martin has the 911 calls.

I'm not making a comment about content, and I only skimmed it because this is an ongoing story and to make any kind of conclusion based on this link is pointless, but many people don't take Wiki with the huge grain of salt that is needed. |
