During Wednesday’s White House press briefing, spokesman Josh Earnest dropped a bit of a bomb, saying President Obama had regrets about his 2006 support for a filibuster to block the nomination of Justice Samuel Alito, a George W. Bush appointee:

“He regrets the vote that he made, because, frankly, as we’ve discussed, Democrats should have been in a position where they were making a public case …. They shouldn’t have looked for a way to just throw sand in the gears of the process. And frankly, looking back on it, the president believes he should have just followed his own advice.”

Now when asked what Obama will be doing instead of attending the funeral, Earnst replied that Obama would be going over resume's of replacement candidates for the position of the late Scalia.

Obama is has no more back bone than a reed in the wind. And has no more courage of his convictions either. Hence when the wind changes direction so does the reed.......so does Obama.
