Thumbs up Shepherd Smith and the Russian Mess.

Quote:
Fox News is a foxhole for those who still think the whole Trump-Russia connection is nonsense. But yesterday afternoon, Fox host Shepard Smith went off script in talking with Chris Wallace:
“We’re still not clean on this, Chris. If there’s nothing there — and that’s what they tell us, they tell us there’s nothing to this and nothing came of it, there’s a nothingburger, it wasn’t even memorable, didn’t write it down, didn’t tell you about it, because it wasn’t anything so I didn’t even remember it — with a Russian interpreter in the room at Trump Tower? If all of that, why all these lies? Why is it lie after lie after lie? If you clean, come on clean, you know? My grandmother used to say when first we practice to — Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive. The deception, Chris, is mind-boggling. And there are still people who are out there who believe we’re making it up. And one day they’re gonna realize we’re not and look around and go, Where are we, and why are we getting told all these lies?”
Kudos to Shepard Smith for honesty, and to Fox News for not pulling him off the air or firing him (so far). It’s these kinds of moments of truth that may find their way to the 30 percent of Americans who still support Trump, and their spineless Republican senators and representatives who still look the other way.
What do you think?

"Fox News host Shepard Smith slammed what he called "lies" and "deception" pushed by Donald Trump Jr. in a fiery Friday rant over emerging details of Trump Jr.'s meeting with a Russian lawyer last summer.

On Friday's Shepard Smith Reporting, the host launched into a tirade over Trump Jr.'s stance the meeting equated to nothing even as new details showed it included eight people. Several congressional committees and a special counsel are investigating whether Trump associates colluded with the Russians during the presidential campaign.

"We're still not clean on this, Chris," Smith told fellow Fox anchor Chris Wallace. "Why all these lies? Why is it lie after lie after lie? If you clean, come on clean."

Smith is a liberal sissy boy. He should have been canned from FOX a long time ago, but he is their token gay to make them seem more "balanced and fair."

Another FOX real newsman frustrated.

FNC’s John Roberts Leaves White House Briefing: ‘Do It On Camera and I Might Stay’

"The White House communications team is holding another off-camera briefing right now and at least one TV news correspondent walked out of it. Fox News Channel’s John Roberts stepped out of the briefing as Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was just getting going.

It is about time. FOX, which used to be my "go to" has become one conspiracy theory after another.

The New York Times is asking Fox News' morning show "Fox & Friends" to apologize for what the newspaper calls a "malicious and inaccurate segment" about the newspaper, intelligence leaks and the Islamic State that aired Saturday.

New York Times spokeswoman Danielle Rhoades Ha said Sunday that she requested an "on-air apology and tweet." The paper, she wrote, took issue with a Fox host on the segment saying that Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi "was able to sneak away under the cover of darkness after a New York Times story" in 2015 and a host's comment that the U.S. government "would have had al-Baghdadi based on the intelligence that we had except someone leaked information to the failing New York Times."

It was always about the money. The reason we never saw the tax returns was because of what they would show about the money. The reason we can't get a straight answer about the family's dealings with the Russians is the money. Preet Bharara got fired because of the money and how the money had been allegedly laundered. James Comey got fired because of the money. Without the money, specifically the money from Russia, the Trump empire likely would have collapsed and Trump would not be president today. FOX, recently just never disappoints with its radical extremist activity.....

"An investigator who worked on the Seth Rich case claims Fox News fabricated quotes implicating the murdered Democratic National Committee staffer in the WikiLeaks scandal and coordinated with the Trump administration as it worked on the story.

The investigator, Rod Wheeler, sued Fox for defamation. His lawsuit, filed Tuesday in New York, lays out an explosive tale of Trump allies conspiring to push a false story to take the pressure of the Russian collusion investigation off the president, and a news organization willing to show the president its story before it was published."
