It's scary to think that this guy was one heartbeat away from the most powerful political position in the world for eight whole years.

Is he planning a book or even on a book tour? Usually it's some pecuniary interest that results in people running off at the mouth as he's been doing.

Dick Cheney tells it like it is, you just don't want to hear it. For me it's a lot worse to see who is a heart beat away today. Joe Biden couldn't carry Dick Cheney's luggage.

I love Dick Cheney!! I always wished he was President instead of Bush. It's about time somebody started defending the previous administration. Everything they did wasn't bad. The road Obama is taking us down scares me to death.

Regarding telling Dick Cheney to shut up... so much for free speech. But then again Liberals always believe in free speech as long as it's what THEY want to hear or what THEY want to have said, otherwise it must be silenced.

Biden received five deferments from the draft and thus never had to serve in Vietnam. After the fifth deferment Biden was not eligible for service because of childhood asthma, an ailment that had never been previously disclosed. In Biden’s stories about his life (in his book Promises to Keep) he discussed having an active childhood and playing football and other sports. There is no mention of asthma and no mention of any limited ability. Since Biden voted FOR the 2002 invasion of Iraq but received five deferments from service, does that make him a chicken hawk?

Funny how the press likes to talk about Cheney's deferments but Biden's deferments are off limits.

IMO, it's a good comparison. Neither of them are equipped to be president.

One of the rights we still cling to in this country is free speech.

As for Mr. Cheney, my hat's off to him. He is right on with his comments.

As far as a heart beat away from President -- Lord have mercy, look who we have NOW. That's enough to scare a person silly. I mean truly, look where we have come in the first 4+ months. He has dismantled this free Republic of ours and intends to abolish it.

Those are the ingredients of the worst kind of nightmare.

He does not tailor what he says to please who is listening (right or wrong).
He says what he thinks. Does what he thinks is right...and like all politicians caters to the lobbyists and special interest groups he favors.

Therefore he is a true politician....he just doesn't peddle the feel good diatribe diet we the people have come to enjoy and adore (for some reason). He is of the talk is cheap school.

And for those who have the audacity to refer to him as a scary thought being 2nd in line to POTUS.......that is pure partisan rhetorical BS....all one has to do is look at who is 2nd in line today.....and 3rd Nancy Pelosi....should keep any being with a pulse awake at night.....hoping and praying they are smart enough to not let BHO and Biden both get in harms way at the same time....only a true party loyalist no matter what would not consider her a bigger risk than anything on the political horizon.
