If you mention Rev Wright where Sen Obama attended for TWENTY YEARS and wrote glowling about and called his mentor (ALL FACT) then you are being unfair...

If you mention Sal Alinsky, who wrote the bible on radical orangizing in the neighborhood, it is unfair...doesnt matter that he was the basis for the training of Sen Obama AND IT IS TRUE.

If you mention the corrupt builder who helped get Sen Obama his home...that is unfair..but TRUE

If you mention that Sen Obama while in Illinois had a bill defeated that was to allow universal health care WHICH IS TRUE...you should not do that.

If you mention that his campaign co-manager, the son of Rev Jessie Jackson said in South Carolina that Sen Obama was acting "too white" WHICH IS TRUE you are being racist.

If you mention much of anything about his background you are being racist, unfair or it is not important

I'd heard some of the rumors, dismissed many as drivel, ignored some because even if true, they were none of my business. The one that did interest me was the mayoral recall issue. As was said, the recall was dropped, she was justified in firing the police chief and, from what I could determine, had good cause for doing so. The other issue I take exception to is teaching abstinance sex ed. It doesn't work. Plain and simple. Kids need to learn about the STDs that are out there, the risks, the whys and wherefores, etc. They need to know what will protect them if they do have sex, not just that they shouldn't have sex. As to the creationism issue, she never said she supported it, she simply said it could be taught in schools.

I like Palin. I like that she's willing to fight the establishment if she feels she's in the right. The fact that she holds an 80% approval rating in Alaska is impressive (even if it does have a small population). I don't care if she has 5 kids. That's her and her husband's business, not mine. How they are raised is their business -- whether by both of them, by her husband, by other family members, by nannies. We're not electing her husband or kids, we're electing McCain and her or Obama and Biden. I just wish I had more faith in McCain to keep us out of war unless truly necessary (and not just to get us oil).

God I wish it was a war for oil. If it was then why are we not backing the tankers up to the spicket?? I think we should fill our tanker up until whatever we have spent on the war was paid off. THEN it would be a war on oil. Benj

BENJ....great post......most of the posts on here are simply Democratic talking points. Like the one where Sen McCain said we will be at war in Iraq for 100 years, etc. These are simply things that the left wing sites have been promoting and promoting.

I wish the Republicans would take off the gloves on this guy Sen Obama....the Clintons started to during the primary, but the racist screams scared them away since they were looking for the candidacy.

War for oil.....100 year war according to McCain.....just a bunch of stuff with no credence that can ever be supplied !

I'd like Iraq to give us some of their $76 billion surplus to help relieve our near trillion dollar deficit. I'd like someone to find the cold, hard cash that has gone missing in Iraq. I'd like to find other viable sources of energy so we aren't so dependent on the Saudis. I'd also like us to not be so financially indebted to China. Oil war? I don't know. Money war? I think so... and we're losing.

Thank you for posting this list of lies...I do not like them at all....had not really paid any attention to them.....but this was good to see!

To cite Fox News as a source of authenticity and objectivity is really stretching it. Fox News is run by Roger Ailes, the former chairman of the Republican National Committee. Give me a break.
And the Fox Network is owned by Rupert Murdoch...who owns the NY Post and countless scandal sheets in Great Britain and Australia...none of them known for journalistic integrity.
Fox News' slogan "Fair and Balanced" is their own promotion device, not a determination by some neutral party.

I just read this cause I have been staying out the the Palin threads...but you got your answer last night during the Palin interview when she said we would have to defend Georgia if Russia attacked again.

Oops she did say they would have to be part of NATO
