Default Still cant drill,..Why?

Gasoline going thru the roof, especially in these bad time, more businesses are going to have to lay off more, and our fearless leader sits on his hands, makes no sense. I know to liberals it does, they love sky high gas prices, ...go figure. Anything bad for the country you can always count on them for their support.

Default Drill Here Drill Now

Perhaps it is a coincidence but the rising gas prices makes Obama's desire to push green that much easier. What has so many of us upset is that the pols told us during the OPEC Embargo that we were going to free ourselves of foreign oil. And so the Department of Energy was born and what have they done since 1973 "nothing" except to increase their budget and personnel year after year

It seems the first deep-water drilling permits in the Gulf of Mexico have been granted since the spill 5 months ago. I don't know when we will see, if we see, any tangible benefits from this.

In the meantime the government has poured hundreds of millions in "green energy"; specifically solar energy, and it has been a complete business disaster orchestrated with our hard earned tax monies. The liberal media will not report on this and still are pushing for more "feel good green initiatives". Private business would never have this. Goverment should not be in business.

Don't you know Obama said oil is the fuel of the past!!

I'm hoping for the cool aid powered car before gas hits five bucks a gallon.

Obama ain't gonna drill, he wants five dollar a gallon gas. It's our punishment for being evil capitalists.

Funny how on one side of his mouth he talks about prosperity and on the other side he does everything he can to kill it.

Default And my favorite pitch on the subject is, any meaningful

actions taken to increase domestic capacity whether it is for new drilling or new refineries or nuclear power or sun or wind....ALL will take from 5-10 years to have a meaningful impact. An interruption of the oil supply from the middle east will affect us the day it happens.
It takes leadership, planning and accountability to actually commit and do something. Hence the reason nothing gets done in Washington.

Taking the lead and stepping up to the plate and doing what has to be done runs the risk of potentially alienating a special interest voting block.

Obama and the representatives prefer to fight the fire when they can see the flame and feel the heat. They would not know prevention if it hit them in the face.

We can only hope something gets approved on his watch to at least show we are heading in the direction of oil independence. But then again he would not want to offend those who currently supply us our oil...hence Obama and Washington....DO NOTHING!!

If it takes $5 per gallon gas to get some attention, then bring it on sooner than later.
