And thank you for seeing that. As it is exactly my point. The OP is suggesting via his link, that the collection of data based on race is somehow a new thing, and created by Obama (hint, think Black person). A 17 year old story of an investigation into the negative impact of black skin on liberty or freedom should put to rest the idea that this is all Obama's fault. For a quick read I would suggest "Black like me" written over 50 years ago. It is artificial in that the author always knew he could quit being black and had not grown up with all the disadvantages of being black. He just got a tiny piece of institutional racism and wrote about it.

If a black child is suspended for swearing in class and a white student is not, all other things being the same, is that a problem? Well not for the white kid. And if we don't collect data to see if that is the case how will be ever know? All we have now is black parents making a claim that such things are routine. If Vinnie Barbarino drops a few f bombs into his comments do we cut him more slack, given his background and the language he hears in his home and neighborhood, than if Queen Elizabeth did the same? Does one person better understand cultural expectations in the school than the other?

You do realize that the link you put so much stock in is not only old but refers to traffic stops and traffic stops only. The author spent much time as a consultant to several communities in studying this.

What you are relying so much on has NOTHING to do with gathering of personal information simply to racially profile.

Your premise is that dropping an F bomb would then be ok if the guy or girl who did it was black. I reject that and suggest rules are rules and if you teach young people that the color of their skin will allow them more "room" you are not dong those young people any favor.

I also suggest that next we issue RULES FOR BLACKS...then RULES FOR WHITES.

Explain how that helps our society ? Explain how we are educating our children correctly with that premise ?

FROM THE OP LINK.....

How are any of these good or positive things for any race..white OR black ?

"Housing database"

""...racially balance the nation, ZIP code by ZIP code. It will map every US neighborhood by four racial groups — white, Asian, black or African-American, and Hispanic/Latino — and publish “geospatial data” pinpointing racial imbalances.
The agency proposes using nonwhite populations of 50% or higher as the threshold for classifying segregated areas."

"Mortgage database"

"Federal Housing Finance Agency, headed by former Congressional Black Caucus leader Mel Watt, is building its own database for racially balancing home loans. The so-called National Mortgage Database Project will compile 16 years of lending data, broken down by race, and hold everything from individual credit scores and employment records.
Mortgage contracts won’t be the only financial records vacuumed up by the database. According to federal documents, the repository will include “all credit lines,” from credit cards to student loans to car loans — anything reported to credit bureaus. This is even more information than the IRS collects.
The FHFA will also pry into your personal assets and debts and whether you have any bankruptcies. The agency even wants to know the square footage and lot size of your home, as well as your interest rate.
FHFA will share the info with Obama’s brainchild, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which acts more like a civil-rights agency, aggressively investigating lenders for racial bias."

"Credit database"

"CFPB is separately amassing a database to monitor ordinary citizens’ credit-card transactions. It hopes to vacuum up some 900 million credit-card accounts — all sorted by race — representing roughly 85% of the US credit-card market. Why? To sniff out “disparities” in interest rates, charge-offs and collections."

"Employment database"

"FPB also just finalized a rule requiring all regulated banks to report data on minority hiring to an Office of Minority and Women Inclusion. It will collect reams of employment data, broken down by race, to police diversity on Wall Street as part of yet another fishing expedition."

"School database"

"Through its mandatory Civil Rights Data Collection project, the Education Department is gathering information on student suspensions and expulsions, by race, from every public school district in the country. Districts that show disparities in discipline will be targeted for reform.
Those that don’t comply will be punished. Several already have been forced to revise their discipline policies, which has led to violent disruptions in classrooms.
Obama’s educrats want to know how many blacks versus whites are enrolled in gifted-and-talented and advanced placement classes.
Schools that show blacks and Latinos under-enrolled in such curricula, to an undefined “statistically significant degree,” could open themselves up to investigation and lawsuits by the department’s Civil Rights Office.

It is all for the two racists in the WH to use when they pick up where they left off before entering the WH.

It is difficult for me to understand the lack of outrage, NO MATTER YOUR PARTY AFFLIATION, to a sitting President instituting this, and doing so in such a stealth manner.

I really cannot understand the tolerance of such things.

Then, even though other papers carried the story (Wall St Journal and other side) a poster actually ONLY QUESTIONED THE SOURCE, and not the facts. THAT is quite alarming...no matter if true. Etc.

So, the U.S. government is going to secretly collect data on our living spots, our spending habits, our credit scores, our debts, income, where we work, our school databases, their discipline policies, etc and then.....

Sort all that information by skin color, and then the government will decide FOR US if we are living up to the standards that they set FOR US. If we are not acceptable, or our neighborhood school is not acceptable , they will implement ways to change it.

Think...in a data base of personal information based on race to accommodate...well, let's say to punish if they feel it is necessary anyone not black or Hispanic, and THEY set the rules.

All of this done "under the radar" and nothing we can do about it !

Ok....who ever dreamed of this ?

I am a little confused about the housing database comment. Why is that new? The census form has questioned race for many years in the past, and was there in 2010. The racial makeup of areas has been used to Gerrymander congressional districts by just about very state. People tend to live in areas that are of their racial background. That is not going to change no matter how hard you try.

There is one way as offered by Senator Jay Billington Bulworth. All we need is a voluntary, free spirited, open-ended program of procreative racial deconstruction. Everyone gotta keep bonking everybody they're all the same color. If you haven't seen the movie Bulworth, you should. The movie came out in 1998, and everything still applies. The movie dumps on both parties equally.

[/QUOTE“Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Rule”

It is brand spanking new. It is called Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Rule.

By zip code the government will monitor the demographics of your zip code. If the number of whites exceed 50% then your zip code is available to have federal grants taken away, or programs of moving inner city minorities affected.

In addition, if in that zip code things like schools or markets are too far away for minorities, you can lose fed money if not fixed.

In addition, these reports will be made available to civil rights groups.

THIS IS NEW...JUST ROLLED OT THIS MONTH

GOOGLE THE PROGRAM OR READ THIS EDITORIAL FROM A BOston paper.

"This is not about blocking housing discrimination, which has been illegal since 1968. It is unlawful for someone to deny you a loan or prevent you from buying a home because of your race, creed or color. Socioeconomic status is — and ought to be — another matter. If you want to buy a nice house in the suburbs, you have to be able to afford it. Apparently, Obama thinks that’s unfair discrimination by the “holders of capital.”

Under Obama’s proposed rule, the federal government will collect massive amounts of data on the racial, ethnic and socioeconomic makeup of thousands of local communities, looking for signs of “disparities by race, color, religion, sex, familial status, national origin, or disability in access to community assets.” Then the government will target communities with results it doesn’t like and use billions of dollars in federal grant money to bribe or blackmail them into changing their zoning and housing policies."

Obama wants to reengineer your neighborhood - The Washington Post

"On July 8, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro announced a final rule that seeks to equip and require federal grant recipients to reduce historical segregation. The rule, known as Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing, may be founded on good intentions, but those noble aims do not justify its subtle but clear overstepping of HUD's statutory authority.

The history of the rule goes back to the Fair Housing Act of 1968, which formed Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968. Section 808(e)(5) of the act states that the Secretary shall "administer the programs and activities relating to housing and urban development in a manner affirmatively to further the policies of this subchapter."

According to the final rule, HUD previously enforced Section 808(e)(5) by requiring some grant recipients to conduct an Analysis of Impediments (AI) which required them "to identify impediments to fair housing choice within their jurisdiction, plan, and take appropriate actions to overcome the effects of any impediments, and maintain records of such efforts." These reports were not "submitted to or reviewed by HUD."

Then, in response to feedback, HUD decided that the AI process was insufficient, and so began in 2013 the process of creating a new rule."

As the links says....well intended but....wow does this have bad news written all over it and will simply give fodder to those that feed on racial unrest.

Of course, as long as it is not YOUR zip code and heck they only know everything about you and share it with civil rights groups...no problem
