How do they know Trump? Are his TV shows popular? Is it his name on the buildings? Hot wives? Or they just learned about him and his past now that he is running.

Trump is a name recognized in Europe, North America, and South America. They all receive news and television about America. They are far more interested and knowledgeable of American politics than we are of theirs.

I don't know where I read this or saw this. Maybe it was here. Someone said there are Trump like candidates in every country. This surprised me. I don't know very much about the politics in other countries until there is a tragedy and that's short lived. Until I retired I didn't have enough time in the week to stay very informed. I was disappointed when John Stewart went off the air when I finally had time to watch him. So this is all new to me. I wonder how does the rest of the world finds the time to look at all sides and how the actions of one country influences another.

It is only a few countries that have Trump like candidates.

You have to admit that this 2016 Presidential election is something right out of some kind of political satire and it is very entertaining. Terrifying of you think of the long term political health of this country as they is the fear that anyone with almost unlimited funds can just derail the whole political system by refusing to take positions on much of anything.

I recently returned from a cruise with about half the ship being from countries besides the USA. All were laughing at the "characters" we have running for President. Trump was being laughed at the most with Cruz being a second close. No foreigners we spoke with thought either of those two would be a good President.

Mrs. Clinton was well respected by most but Bill Clinton was usually brought up with any conversation about her.

Quite a few foreigners compared our election for the next President as to a television reality show.

Are other countries relevant? NO! Do we care about their failing economies due to their socialism? NO! So, why would anyone care if they are laughing at us? I've been to a lot of countries and they should be looking inward, at their failure instead of laughing at us. But, really who cares? I noticed how you singled out Trump and Cruz and not even mentioning what they thought of the criminal Hillary or the socialist Bernie. Perhaps you are attempting to feed us baloney?

I've been to other countries and lived in other countries most of my life. I have heard them disparage anything American, all the while enjoying the fruits of our handouts and lifestyle. They use our cell phones, wear our blue jeans and Tshirts. They drive our cars and are even willing to pay twice as much for American cars than what we pay for them. They listen to our music and enjoy our entertainment. And they want to laugh at us? I think you are mistaking their envy for our wealth when you think they are looking down at us. I have yet to see anything in other countries that I would want or need here, other than perhaps better law enforcement. Other countries do not coddle their criminals as we do.

If you enjoy socialism so much, enjoy your freedom and take a little trip to another country and live there for a few years. Not as a privileged American, but live like they do. It will enlighten you to what a great nation we live in. The LAST great nation of the world. Try not to spoil it any more than your liberal socialist fanatics have already.

Isn't Bernie trying to do the same thing, derail the system? He's broke but has the donations of all his supporters and not the lobbyists or big business. That he is that old, comes across as Larry David and came this far is truly amazing to me. It gives me hope that his young supporters will pick up where he left off.
thank you for this conversation

And exactly what positions does Hillary take, that she hasn't flipped on when ever convenient? She has flipped on just about every issue according to the crowd she screeches to.

You are going to have to try harder if you are going to get any votes for Hillary. You might start with trying to get back some of the Dem voters that are planning to vote for Trump.

Yes, his preaching a failed antiquated socialism is something that the young should aspire to. I hope you were just joking, because anyone that takes Bernie seriously has some "serious" problems.

Yes, I want my daughter and granddaughter to support a chauvinistic pervert that has such a low opinion of females and wishes a failed socialist political system on our children.

On Faux News tonight, Donald Trump announced his choice of VP running mate. It is Carly Fiorina. She is coming straight off a two day candidacy as Teddy Cruz's running mate. Carly says the Trump statements about her ugly looks are okay because Trump never lies - and (well, face it) she is plug ugly.

The other contenders included Baby Hands Rubio and the Wasilla Quitta. Rubio was counted out when - during the official measurements - his was longer than Trump's by quite a bit. Sarah Palin was given the heave-ho (pun intended) when hers was longer, too.

Thank you. I enjoy starting my day with some funnies. :bigbow:

I assume you had a point? Or, do you have to use someone else's essay as an explanation of your view?

An essay? Can't we learn how much can be said in a tweet? For example Trump's take on Hispanics.
