I am impressed how long the anti Trump ramblings have lasted and unfortunately show no signs of letting up.

It would be much more useful if there were more point and counterpoint discussions without the daily anti Trump hammering in every other sentence.

I usually stop reading any post that veers off in the bashing direction with no point made yet.

I don't know why disagreeing opinions are not respected.

It must be the Pelosi/Shummer influence is stronger than we thought.

Here is the problem BTK.

Point/counterpoint requires a two way conversation.

Trump supplies so much in the way of lies, false accusTions, etc.

They get posted and frankly, the folks like you refuse to offer any counterpoint.

I have mentioned that many times, and agree with your point.

I have maintained that a President who lies....or makes false accusations, etc., etc is an ISSUE and needs discussion.

Unfortunetly, the only response from Trump,supporters is either profanity, or to blame the media, which has been proven to be a false and simoly slander way to go.

I would love to have an actual discussion. I have begun threads on tax, etc...NOTHING from Trump supporters, except the old..."blame the messenger and ignore the actual message".

What we were thinking is that he'd do the fantastic job that he's doing. The economy is growing like crazy, companies are coming back to the country, unemployment is way down, illegal immigration has slowed dramatically, taxes will soon be lowered, and, most importantly, we have someone who understands and goes by the Constitution on the Supreme Court.

We are regaining the respect of the rest of the world as our military is being rebuilt and we are safer.

That's what I was thinking would happen. Now if we can only get the few idiot Republicans in Congress to get on board, we could really get things moving.

Do you not even realize Trump just appointed to the Consumer Protection Bureau a man who wants to eliminate it?

GOOD!!! It should be eliminated along with hundreds of other unnecessary federal agencies.

Too bad Bill Bennett couldn't eliminate the Dept of Education like he wanted to do when Reagan appointed him.

Most of these agencies only serve to get federal dollars into the hands of special interest groups. They are also a way for members of Congress to do favors in return for campaign contributions. Most of them don't actually do what their name implies.

Not true. You can't possibly know that anything will be added to the debt.

Growing the economy by lowering taxes will only increase the debt if Congress spends more than we take in. Don't forget, Congress does all of the spending. The president only spends the White House budget. The debt we currently have and each year's deficit has been caused by overspending, not under-taxing. In years where the economy grew and revenues to the government increased with it, Congress outspent the increases in revenues.

Trump has always used debt to make money. It's what smart businesspeople do. It's also known as using other people's money. Every business in existence starts out in debt and usually carries debt. Debt is not always a bad thing.
