I would love to see the Islam Center on Hwy 27 congregation start coming to Spanish Springs and Sumter Landing for evening entertainment. I would love to see the Latinos from Lady Lake begin eating in Villages restaurants in large and noisy family groups.

Most of my projects are outdoors and I have already finished some that I could do before it got hot. I drop in here while I am researching for some ideas. Today, I am getting ideas for some spice rub for some beef I am planning to smoke for the family. I have my own brisket rub but it might be a bit spicy for some folks. I am thinking of going the Texas style this time. It's mostly salt and heavy on the black pepper. Maybe a bit of granulated garlic. Nothing can beat good slow cooked BBQ.

The Villages is a decent place for a variety of reasons. One of them is that we do not have many young living here. Another reason is that many of the older people residing here are peaceful and have things in common with each other. It's much quieter here.

I missed a couple of points before posting.

First, I remember seeing in a very important document somewhere "That All Men Are Created Equal".

Second, I am not a miserable person. I am quite happy most of the time. I enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Yes, some people are happier than me, I suppose, and good for them. I do not have as much money as some in The Villages nor as nice a house as some but I do not begrudge anyone for what they have versus me.

The BIGGEST reason is demographics...the villages is 99% white. There are other 99% white places that are wonderful places to live too.

There are NONE that are 99% black or hispanic.
