You would be surprised with how much interaction I have had with authorities and you are right that the bureaucrats us normal people usually end up going voice-to-voice on the phone can and do lie on occasion. And politicians will say and do whatever keeps them in office.

Then he put Betsy DeVos, opponent of public education, in charge of education; Jeff Sessions, opponent of the Voting Rights Act, in charge of voting rights; Ben Carson, opponent of the Fair Housing Act, in charge of fair housing; Scott Pruitt, climate change denier, in charge of the Environmental Protection Agency; and Russian quisling Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State.

He said he’d faithfully execute the law. You bought it. Then he said his predecessor, Barack Obama, spied on him, without any evidence of Obama ever doing so, in order to divert attention from the FBI’s investigation into collusion between his campaign and Russian operatives to win the election.

He said he knew more about strategy and terrorism than the generals did. You bought it. Then he green lighted a disastrous raid in Yemen- even though his generals said it would be a terrible idea. This raid resulted in the deaths of a Navy SEAL, an 8-year old American girl, and numerous civilians. The actual target of the raid escaped, and no useful intel was gained

He called Barack Obama “the vacationer-in-Chief” and accused him of playing more rounds of golf than Tiger Woods. He promised to never be the kind of president who took cushy vacations on the taxpayer’s dime, not when there was so much important work to be done. You bought it. He has by now spent more taxpayer money on vacations than Obama did in the first 3 years of his presidency. Not to mention all the money taxpayers are spending protecting his family, including his two sons who travel all over the world on Trump business.

He called CNN, the Washington Post and the New York Times “fake news” and said they were his enemy. You bought it. Now he gets his information from Fox News, Breitbart, Gateway Pundit, and InfoWars.

Clearly by your own post Obama has left this country divided and TWENTY TRILLION DOLLARS IN DEBT.
So you understand, just what Obama added to the national debt is 85,000 for every man woman and child in the US.

Since obviously while you voted for Obama and I did not. I truly think you should pay OUR 170,000.

Yes, due to trying to overturn the financial recession and the initiation of the Affordable Health Care Act, the national debt rose 9 trillion under President Obama. It probably never occurred to you that Bush's policies might have added significantly to the debt while Obama was in office.Obama inherited a country that was in one of the worst recessions since the Great Depression. He had to live with the Bush tax cuts for 2 years. Also, it is Congress that passes tax and spending legislation. There is little the president can do to impact the debt, positively or negatively, without a bill passed by Congress. During Obama's first term, congress was split, so any financial legislation/decisions were bi-partisan. During his second term, the Republicans controlled Congress. If you want to assess blame, I think you know where to look.

And the more they panic the more seats of the gov. they will lose. If they keep going at the speed they are traveling now, there will be NO democrat party in four years.

Having letters after your name usually means you have learned something that you had to pay for.

There are many, many, many people in this world who did not have the money or could not spend the time to get a degree but they still are intelligent and have continued to learn and read and access information and many have become successful by all standards and often wealthy by all standards and have contributed much by any standards.

It is those people who got tired of being told what to do and how to talk by people who think they are better than others. Those people, successful people, working people, people with values and strong character are the ones who voted against the left in November.

Just keep it up. They will do it again, and they have strong and silent company.

I switched, for what it is worth, fron Republican to Independent.

My reason was simple.

The Republican Party in the past used to stand for attributes like moral character and honesty. Allowing Trump who manifests the polar opposite did me in.

Thus my change.

I understand politics...have been involved and actually worked in the arena for about 50 years, so I know the seamy side of politics...I know the moral compromises to be made, but Trump has given us...as a candidate; a foul mouthed, uninformed loud mouth, and as a President, a liar of epic proportions, an unsavory, sneaky person who has earned no trust.

If his presidency stopped today, the redemption of the office would take time, and it will simply get dirtier and dirtier.

Those of you who are going to respond with Clinton or Obama, which I agree are not what would call wholesome, do not have the understanding of how sneaky, and self serving Donald Trump is.

He is of the lowest character, no matter his position. I cannot stand with a party that would nominate him.

I am happy as an independent. I railed against Obama for 8 years, but there are Democratic and progressive ideas that this country needs to adopt or at least listen to.
