The entire premise of this thread is bogus, the typical Obama Derangement Syndrome. Take something he said, twist it then pile on lots of conspiracy theories and throw in some racism for fun.

Obama answered a citizen question in Cleveland about Washington dysfunction and Citizens United. He mentioned several ways to improve the dysfunction and take big money out of politics. He mentioned in his answer that in Australia and other countries there is mandatory voting. He never proposed such a measure here. If you read somewhere in that comment that he "wants to make a law you must vote" as the OP wrote and so many of you believe, it is a sad commentary on your ability to understand beyond what Fox News tells you to believe.

You are absolutely right. Too many of these Fox News junkies just hear a tidbit of what they want to hear and twist it in so many directions it is just a lie. President Obama did not ever propose a law to make voting mandatory.

When one has a low trust factor like his along with his need to take executive action on anything not popularly supported, it is difficult to not weigh everything he states with a jaundiced eye.
