To the original post. Why aren't people up in arms about this case? In all seriousness, what does happen to a fine like that? Where does the money go? I imagine it is already allocated for things like better education of physicians, advertising to report fraud and so on. Where will that money really go?

Now, I am off to Tampa where I have a investment meeting, then wife and I enjoy a nice meal and then to the Tampa Yankee game where I have season tickets, then back the high rise in Tampa to watch the end of the Yankee/Ray game. I hope all of that meets with your approval.

According to today's Tampa Bay Times, Florida will receive $56.7 million from this settlement. Out of that amount, the whistle-blowers who were instrumental in the investigation will receive $2.4 million. The paper doesn't say where the remainder will go.
