"Meeting for a beer" and "Meeting for a coffee" are just two ways of saying .. "Let's hang out and talk to each other." People I'm sure are free to drink water or coke or non-alcoholic drinks.

The President is being blasted because on prime time National TV, during a press conf about health care he stated "the police acted stupidly" before he, or anyone,had any data to base judgement on. Every single person watching that news conf knew he was going to have to go into a major damage contgrol agenda the moment the words rolled off his lips. This is partof that agenda.
