Chelsea

Chelsea is correct. Jones resigned but still works for the government and Obama.

Obama has his own interpretation for what resign means.

Ooops! Well, I've been out of the loop due to tummy flu. Yes, I have health insurance! But, none of this changes my feelings towards anything Glen Beck has to say. Or towards the changes that are happening and will happen to the face of politics. You heard it here first... that is if you're listening at all. ;)

ALL of your posts concerning this subject mention Glenn Beck !!!

Taking Beck out of the discussion and simply looking at this appointee on its merits, do you support this appointment NO MATTER the background and ideaology ?

I realize he has resigned.....but you seem to be obsessing on Beck...I am curious if you suppoprt the radical themes expressed by this man ?

It's Crazy Time

:crap2::crap2:How much does anyone think the infrastructure costs will be for the Obama health plan and how do they think they will be recovered. First there must be a Department formed in the government which will grow exponentially and once it is established it will never go away. Then there are the costs to manage the program. This would include incredibly large data banks which would required an incredibly large number of computers which would require a huge number of operators and service personnel who would require salaries and government benifits which are more expensive than privately owned co.benifits. Of course there would be a need for a fleet of vehicles to support this huge bureacuracy. You can add reward programs, and all the other "stuff" that goes with this kind of program. Remember, profit is not a consideration or motive for this group of bottom feeders so there is no limit to costs being incurred. And they would advertise their offerings against privately owned companies who would be forced out of business and BINGO you have a government out of control health system that would force Dr's out, create their own priorities and the tax payer is left holding the bag while a bunch of less than ethical politicians line their pockets by being reelected by voters who have probably drank too much from clay pots filled with lead, (e.g. Roman cause for failure).
Few have ever run their own business so they would have "on the job" training at the Tax payer expense and so what if they messed up. The tax payer will pick up the crumbs they leave behind
Good luck. The advantage for some is that the total program will take about 5years to kick in and a lot will be in nursing homes but still begging not to be classified as expendable and hoping they win the arguement.
IT IS CRAZY TIME!!!

Typical response. Expected nothing more. Why listen to the arguments of the opposition and, God forbid, consider them, when one can denigrate the individuals to the point of dehumanizing them. After all, it's all about you.

`

I love and respect most of your posts Uncle Muncle (;)) but on this... You're dead wrong. I do listen to the opposition and take the good points for what they are. I'm sorry if I don't see the richness of intellect in the Bobby Jindal's or Sarah Palin's or Glen Beck's, that you do. As they say, "Time always tells the tale."

And more importantly, it's never been about me... It's always been about the American people. But, I mean ALL of the American people... not just the ones that feel they are the chosen few. My husband and I have worked hard all of our lives to have the security we now enjoy in our "golden" years. But, that doesn't mean I will turn my back on the less fortunate.

The one thing I do every morning religiously is count my blessings. Perhaps others should try it. :)

Bucco

I feel for you Bucco. You are trying to discuss the issue but the other side won't stay with the issue AND respond to to your points.

Seems I remember stating that the real accomplishment or lack thereof

will be obvious in all it's presence at about the time Obama makes his first State of the Nation.

Where some of us lose any patience we might have had for the interim is when the current administration, states that passing health care reform is the highest domestic priority of this president and his administration. And then as the high speed train to pass it failed......and the train has started to weave back and forth a little, the latest statements to come from Obama, the WH and all the merry participants is.....let's cobble something together no matter what it contains to accomplish the objective (that of passing the bill that is).

What happen to ...."...we have plenty of time to get it right..."?

The administration has the wrong objective...I thought it was for a reform that was deficit neutral and good for we the people. How easily the politicians in control lose sight of what what promised...they have much practice at it (both parties).

Thank GOD we the people are starting to stand and be counted. A problem the administration totally did not expect.
