Switzerland, Finland...each want to give EVERY citizen about $1,000 as a minimum standard of living.

Here in America...we have the poverty level and the government GIVES you things to make up for it if you are below it. We have a minimum standard of living here too. It's socialist.

We want to give everyone healthcare...it's socialist.

We want to give everyone an education...it's socialist.

They're all what is commonly referred to as socialist. Technically Communism, Collectivism, but commonly all grouped into Socialism.

a re-read of the comments on this thread indicates we are all primarily talking about two things. 1) happiness 2) immigration issues.

While it is true a repressive government can cause you misery, I do not believe a government can make you happy.

a government can be repressive in many ways. We view our nation accords us more freedoms than other nations. however the ugly truth is that through regulations, Supreme Court decisions, etc this nation has greatly curtailed our freedoms. its all a game played both both sides to control the masses

Where would you be more happy? Living on main street in the villages ot on MLK Blvd in Detroit or Chicago?

Blacks aren't people who make us happy to be living with. Because of THEM...their actions.
