Yoda, I cannot believe that the link you posted actually worked. "War and Peace" didn't read that long.

Your observations- and those of many justifiably screaming conservatives- seem to be correct. Although DHS claims that it did a Feb 4 report on Left Wing Extremism, an exhaustive search, including the DHS website, turns up nothing.

There is a 2001 report from Dept. of Energy that is a virtual tit-for-tat (or is that teabag-for-teabag?) excoriation of the Left.

Both reports appear to be written by 9th graders given an assignment to inflame the other side: it troubles me that it was done at all. And part of the myth of our Liberal superiority complex is that we don't do those sorts of things!

Anyway, here are the two reports if anyone wants to read them. I expect water balloons at 50 yards- and would not be surprised to see the Administration cover its teabags be issuing a hastily assembled "Left Wing Extremism Report"

OBAMA feels this way about US. Now the fool is even trying to distance himself from his own administration regarding the DHS report.

All I can say is I DIDN'T VOTE FOR HIM. He didn't fool me from day one. Let's just pray we can get through this 4 years and get rid of him. In the meantime, work to raise up honest real Conservative values candidates to run whatever side they come from.

very narrow scope of thinking. When using terms such as "...a few..." to describe a faction it connotates complete lack of basis. A few divided by 300,000,000 equals what? Nothing!! Just like the substance of the warning.

I might be on the subversives list. I e-filed on the 15th, but it didn't go through the first time. I resubmitted today, but that may make me officially late. Yikes. Such an un-American act as this could easily get me on the Biden hit list, if not the Atty. Gen'l's. Next they will find out I have an honorable discharge from the Marine Corps; was once a police officer (you know what kind of training and secret things those people know); it gets worse...I studied Political Science in College, and am no longer a liberal, (it's a growth/thiniking thing), and I even had Walter Williams as my Economics 101 teacher.....boy, I'm in deep doo-doo.

The DHS report is exactly what DHS is supposed to be doing - assessing ALL risks before something happens. The "wrong" part was whoever broke several DHS regulations by slipping it to the press.

Documents that are marked "For Official Use Only" are marked that way for good reason. Yet, the game these days seems to be "find a document marked for protection and open it to the planet." That's not "freedom of the press," but is irresponsibility and self-centered behavior at its worst.

Actually Steve the report was not even stamped Classified- that's why I think both it and the 2001 Bush-DOE reports were nothing more than political hack jobs- sort of an in your face Mein Kampf by some overeager underling trying to prove to his party that he's willing to get in the m ud.

This gives plausible denialibility to anyone with real power, but still generates controversy and sound bites- ala how many weblogs, like this one, are spending time on it rather than discussing issues that matter.

conservative, liberal, extremist, looney. Is it not about time we all become of age and work to the middle ground that would be benificial to all concerned. I am retired military and have voted republican for most of my 40+ voting years, but I have to admit, that Obama is doing a much better job than Dick and his puppet George did over the past 8 years. Lets try to support OUR PRESIDENT.
