If, by "doing a much better job" you mean doing a better job of increasing the national debt for the next 10 years and beyond, then I'll say you are correct. He seems to be doing his best to get as much spending done during his honeymoon period as possible. The scary thing is that there seems to be a consensus that when he finally reaches out to the Right it will be to reign in his expenses on the back of entitlement (i.e., Soc Sec. and Medicare) reform. "Reform" in this context means reducing expenses. Since no one has found a way to reduce expenses without cutting benefits, I'd say a fair number of us will be seeing our social security payments reduced and either our medicare payments increased or our benefits cut. As BTK says, wait for the full effect of Obama's programs to be felt and then see how you grade him. Right now he is existing on promises of better things to come when all rational study of his proposals show nothing but horrendous deficits.
