Zika Funding Delay in Congress Puts Americans at Risk, Obama Says - NBC News Educate yourself. |
The funding delay is not caused by Congress. Congress has agreed to make the money available, but an amendment has been added to provide additional funding for Planned Parenthood. POTUS Has said he will not sign the bill unless it contains the PP funding.
So, it seems to me that Obama is the one playing with our health. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Senate Democrats rejected the GOP funding measure on Tuesday, 52-48, arguing that it would rob Obamacare of funding, impose new restrictions on Planned Parenthood and provide some $800 million less than the Obama administration is seeking. They’re also miffed that the measure, part of legislation to finance the Veterans Affairs Department, would allow the Confederate flag to fly at veterans cemeteries.

Zika Worsens in Singapore, and U.S. Experts Are Worried - NBC News
It will only get worse. Ignore the trolls. Protect yourself and those you love. |
Yes, of course worry about Zika while you plan your next trip to the countries that have far more preponderance of Malaria and Dengue fever being transmitted by mosquitoes. If you are that worried, use Deet on yourself to keep the bites down. You actually have a better chance of being hit by a car than contracting Zika.

"Zika virus is a mosquito-borne flavivirus that was first identified in Uganda in 1947 in monkeys through a network that monitored yellow fever. It was later identified in humans in 1952 in Uganda and the United Republic of Tanzania" WHO | Zika virus |
I've been to many countries having malaria and dengue fever, which are transmitted by mosquito. Funny how no one ran around in a panic over the prospects of being bitten by a bug. I even had dengue fever from a bite, most likely while on one of my weekly visits to the rain forest. No, it's no laughing matter. However, it is not something for anyone to panic over. Oh, and I did not get the fever from Africa. It was in South America. I am not going to allow the prospect of zika interfere with my lifestyle any more than I allowed the prospect of getting stung by a "killer bee" bother me a couple decades ago, during that scare. Like I said before, if you are prone to bug bites (some are more than others) then use Deet. This does not have to be mind crippling.

Like their posts do here. It's a "joke", a "stereotype" for a reason...it's true. Stereotypes ARE true...that's how they come about...people see a common trait or action and voila...a stereotype is born. If you're not allowed to talk about it, political correctness, you get "jokes". |
