Default Golf experience Pelican

A few years ago, as a new golfer, my foursome got Pelican. We felt pressure as it was a men’s tournament day right behind us. Lost at least six balls and vowed never to play that course again!
Horror! We got a 9:00 tee time at Pelican last week. We decided to play best ball. Had a fabulous time and kept remarking to one another what a beautiful course Pelican is.
Not intimidated anymore!

Love Pelican! My go to after church on Sunday. One of the most beautiful courses in TVs.

Pelican is definitely a gorgeous course but you do have to carry a LOT of wetlands from the black and gold tees. I've only played once and fortunately didn't lose any balls but my buddy lost a ton of balls, all gobbled up by the wetlands. I'm sure that playing best ball would make it a lot less intimidating.

The best executive course in the bubble, hands down.

One time we played it the brush and wetlands completely blocked you from seeing the green let alone the tip of the flag. I consider challenges like that fun but not all the time.

Agreed. The only one that is not boring and lined with houses. Wish there were more "Pelicans" in TV. Unfortunately, not the case...

A golf course is rarely intimidating if you play the proper tees and you aren't under pressure to make every shot count....it's a "scramble" if everyone is playing the previous best shot. "Best Ball" is when everyone plays their own ball till it's holed out and the lowest score goes on the card.
