The pin placements at Oakleigh were tough this week, and we lamented at how a caddy might help us by telling us where to land our ball for the easiest putt. Then we realized that none of us are good enough to do it. C'est la vie.

After hitting off the tee, I typically take a "fore!".

I totally agree. 1,000โ€™s of balls are hit every day on The Villages 4 driving ranges by people with the same repetitive bad swing with no desire to TRY AND IMPROVE THEIR SWING. Husbands teaching their wives their own bad swing habits and buddies teaching each other their own sucky swings ๐Ÿ™„.

If you want tough pins come up north, all the pins here are surrounded by snow and ice. I can't wait to get to the Villages to play some of the "tough" pin placements.

That's why I usually practice at the range alone so it doesn't turn into a social yap time about various subjects. I had a very wise golf instructor tell me " practice makes permanent " and I try to remember that.

Why? They just replaced old sand with new sand on some of the courses last summer.

Maybe it would be easier if they added bucket holes. Sorry, I had to say that.
