Default Truman 11/19/2022...

pretty sad condition...especially the greens. grass on the greens has no root system and retains footprints to the point of making a simple putt total guess work. I hope the resolve the issue, but it is getting cool to the point of grass starting to go dormant.

Yes, I have played a few greens at Lowlands & Belle Glade that already look to be dead/dormant. By March they will need major work.

The wife inadvertently walked upon a HUGE alligator at Truman. The course conditions were the least of our worries. He must have been full as he could of easily had her if he wanted. It was funny and scary all at the same time. FYI, we never found the ball I lost lol

Default conditions

Very disappointed in some of the Executive course greens. After spiking them 3 times this past summer, I expected more.

Since all the greens are Bermuda grass they tend to go dormant with the cooler nights. that is not the issue. the issue is a lack of roots. greens here, if groomed properly in summer still play nicely when dormant and some growth is encouraged.

Saw an article in todays Daily Sun, written by this guy.

I suppose there is no budget for over-seeding.

Judging by the Execs I've played recently, you can expect a winter of brown greens, beat-up tee boxes and messy traps. Too late to do any overseeding. Four months of non-stop complaining ahead.

Yet the biggest complaint of all will be the difficulty of getting a t time on the same courses people are complaining about.

For sure. If it isn't 1 thing it is another. Glad we have so many choices.

regulation and exec courses(tees, greens, fairways and aprons. We had a year(sometime between 2015 and 2018)where they overseeded as specified, but summer didn't bring enough rain to fill the holding ponds...thus they overseeded, but not enough water to make it grow...so complete failure. Since then they don't overseed much at all. Some courses do the tees, but mostly they stopped. Too bad.
