Just used the new version for the first time. Works great except for one small problem. Our house is the second on the left in our neighborhood and the App wanted to route us further into the neighborhood through the villas and back out. The voice commands are somewhat truncated. It would be nice if that could be fixed.

Sorry but the ads have ruined this app for me. Free versions of apps often use ads to re-coup development costs. Paying for the product is supposed to spare you the annoyance

Hi and thank you for contacting us.

Yes, we redesigned the whole app from the top down and are trying to help pay for it so we didn't have to raise the price of the app.

It was VERY expensive and we only added one small ad at the very bottom of the screen.

You will not see the ad during Navigation, so it's really not that big a deal.

We hope everyone else enjoys all the improvements :-)

We did add Fenney and DeSoto. We are waiting for more data to come out before we can add Mclure.

HOW TO GET THE UPDATE:

ANDROID
If for some reason it didn’t automatically update. follow these steps to manually update it.

1. Open the Google Play Store app.
2. Touch the Menu icon (3 lines)
3. My Apps.
4. Apps with available updates are labeled "Update."
5. Select "Villages GPS" and touch Update.

iPhone
1. Go to your App Store App
2. Click the Update button on the bottom right.
3. Find Villages GPS
4. Click Update

Question about downloading. According to the FAQ, it will only function on the device you first download it to. So that would be my Galaxy S7 smartphone. It also says that once I own it, it's mine, and I never have to pay for it again.

But if I get a new phone in a year or two, I'll have to download it again, to the new phone, won't I? Won't I have to pay for it again? Or am I missing something in the translation?

I wouldn't be using the GPS while I'm driving but it seems like a pretty handy way to map things out beforehand, and check on a whole lot of other things as well. Your app has a lot of functionality that I might be interested in (plus hubby could drive while I have the GPS on, when we're driving together. HE GPS's. I don't).
