How long will this app be down?
I am new here and desperately need it to get around in my golf cart.
It is a GREAT app…..hopefully soon to be up and running?!?!?

If you dont want the free Villages app - use Google maps, and select the bicycle directions.

We are Back Up!!!

Long story short… we got Hacked again with a really bad Virus in our code that took days to fix.

Just so you all know… we are just a couple of Villagers that came up with this app in 2013.

To say it has been a struggle….doesn’t even begin to explain the heart ache of what we have gone through.

Now days it’s just a labor of love that we keep it going and hopefully can keep it going.

SO Sorry for the inconvenience and thank You so much for your patience.

I much prefer your App to the free one. Much easier to read and a the "zoom in" feature virtually eliminates missed turns...

I just use apple maps on my iphone to get around but without golf cart directions. I gave up on the Villages directions. On my iphone it has said "Failed to Solve Route" for months. The Villages GPS app didn't work for me all the time either for $6.99

Let's delete the app and reinstall it again. After you open it back up, please click allow us to send Notifications and allow the app to know your location while using the app.

If anyone reading this has any issues...Please email us at VillagesGPS@gmail.com and let us know.

I posted yesterday that you could use the free app as a backup, and it was deleted. I guess they don't want competition, and free speech is not allowed here.

As stated in the other thread, The Villagers GPS does not have the ability to delete posts, nor are they associated/owned by this website. They are simply sponsors who help fund this site...

So, your "competition" and your "free speech" comments are not only incorrect, they are rude...

Perhaps... But only if you don't care about cart routes. This Google by bicycle method puts you on roads with auto traffic, NOT on the cart paths.

I use the village mixer app. It works great and I gave it to all my kids and friends when they visit. The only issue I've had with it was the 441 bridge, it wanted to take me across 441 instead of the bridge.

I laugh at people that don't use the app because it cost them $6.99......it is not down too often and it is really well done. I have used the free app when yours goes down - but it is not nearly as well done. Thanks for putting it together!
