It's very unfortunate that some people like to continously bash us but I understand the frustration.
We have been hacked a few times in the past couple of years and it isn't fun... I would rather be golfing and have the frustrations on the golf course than deal with hackers lol.

We are just a couple of Villagers that moved here over 10 years ago and not affiliated with "The Developer".
Back then all the developer had was a paper map and it was very difficult to drive a golf cart and hold a paper map. The Developer charged $5 or$7 per paper map and every year you had to buy a new one to get the latest map.

After two years of doing that, we decided to have an app developed. It has been very costly but all we really wanted to do was help users that had smart phones. Back in 2013 when we only charged $4.99 per app for the life of the phone you had it on.
Now we are at $6.99 per app for the life of the device you have it on. We never charged another dime, and there has never been a monthly fee.

It is very expensive to keep up with all of the growth of this wonderful city and we are trying our best to keep up now for our users that still like the app and have used it for years...

When we do get hacked or the technology fails... Yes, we will tell everyone to use The Developers app.
For us... it's because we really care that people get to where they are going without it being an issue. It isn't an Us against them... It's just a way to help.

Now it is a labor of love and we don't make enough money hardly keep up.

SO...Sorry for the lengthy reply...

Reported this during our Lifestyle Visit in November. Coming back to Aldean from Lake Sumter at night and not driven this route before, the GPS instructed us to make a turn taking us onto a golf course cart path. We switched over to the Villages app to get back to our villa. Reported this that night in the App Store and just received this response last night-

Love this APP. Been using it for about 7 years. Can't remember having a problem except maybe trying to get to new areas where you haven't had a chance to update it yet. I use it almost daily even though I know how to get to where I'm going I like the timer on it.

Please let me know whom to contact - it's not working very well - why doesn't it allow you to: Once you're traveling to get directions to where you'd want to go ? You don't know where you are if you're lost and need the GPS
