Can the Villages GPS be downloaded on something with a larger screen like a Garman 6" screen GPS ?

You can install the free Villages app on an Android tablet of any size. I don't know about a Garmin, but I doubt that you can install any app on a Garmin GPS device.

No to the Garmin, I own a few of these, the free version does allow you to expand the maps by using your fingers on the screen, and I have had to do this in a few cases especially in the golf course parking lots or getting from the course to the exit for courses I have never been on before.

I downloaded this app and used it for the last 4 days. Gotta say not that good. I found that if you use google maps / set it to bicycle that it works better then the villages gps.

Believe the Villages GPS was coded by the firm of Howard, Fine, and Howard

This will get you into trouble, as there are places where bicycles can go and golf carts cannot, please do not use this option.

I still use TV GPS App almost daily, and have yet to not find where I need to go...
