Default Villages GPS Problems- paid version

We bought the app a couple of days ago. We bought it after I posted here and described problems with the FREE Villages GPS. The description below of the problems are quite similar to what I posted regarding the Free version

Paid Version- It seems 'confused'. It tells us to 'turn right' when there is no right turn, or it tells us to 'turn right' when the turn is actually a left. It also tells us to 'turn left' when we are simply going into a left curve- so we don't know if it actually wants us to turn or take the curve. We can't follow this with any confidence and are reluctant to go exploring until it's fixed.

Thanks!

If you read the comments on the previous post, you would have seen that the "Paid GPS" isn't much better than the "Free" version. That said, after you use it for a while, you'll learn what to ignore and not to take it's directions, literally.

Seems the app has more issues than The Villages app.

Good News..............not a big investment.

I have the same issues; I ignore whacked-out directions and hope for the best. So far, I have been lucky; next stop, the Bronx!

Sorry to hear that. Like I have said before-works perfectly for me, and I've been using it for 3 years. Every now and again the app itself updates and corrects issues it might have, but I use it everywhere I go in TV, and it gets me there. NO current issues that I experience. I only use it in the selected 'Golf Cart' mode-NOT as a 'car' navigator. For that I stick to WAZE. Am thinking that it's a matter of calibration (of user and technology).

I've had minimal problems with the paid version. Occasionally, when my phone signal is weak, it gets confused for a few seconds...

I had more issues with the free version. It seemed to lose where I was quite often. It's better now, but I still prefer the paid version.

You may what to see if there is an update for the app. You also want to ensure that on setting you have selected precise location. I do not have this app but this may help

I have had the same problem. If you are using Bluetooth, make sure it is off when you open the GPS. Once it is open, then turn Bluetooth back on. Bluetooth was causing interference when it was on first. When I googled the problem that is what was advised. Good luck.

Make sure you have checked the by cart or car directions depending on which you are using.

I have not noticed this problem but I don’t take my cart down south.

There is a forum here for the paid version for you to report problems and get assistance try that.

You can always try google and check by bike.

Same issues you have. Found the free Villages app much more accurate.

This is our experience. We have no issues with it as long as we have a cell connection. We’ve gone all over TV using it.

It also tells you to drive in front if my home on your way to spanish Springs. It refuses to send you the correct wat. It now sends 4.3 cars a minute. Real good. I'm not on the main road. Don't follow anymore
